The unique menu remained unchanged since the beginning. This formula is a decked slice of sirloin of 170 grams accompanied by french fries and its famous sauce. His son Henry, opened a restaurant in Toulouse in 1962, in Bordeaux in 1966, in Nantes in 1980, in Montpellier in 1990, and finally, in Lyon in 1999. These restaurants are characterized by scots and black mural, a lemon yellow topping and hostesses dressed with yellow apron and black blouse. The exterior is beautified by yellow and black blinds vertical stripes for the best effect.

Well - we should have been home but thanks to the taxi drivers strike and the fact they blocked off all entry and exit to Nantes airport - we sat for nearly 3 hours on the motorway in stationary traffic and watched lots of people leave cars and walk up the motorway with suitcases - so dangerous... read more

If you like steak and fries and nothing else, you are home. If you want just a little variety, then keep walking. It was ok, but not great, even at the limited menu.

The lines outside the door when we had finished our meal in a full restaurant say it all. The y only serve steak and frites and of course dessert. My steak was cooked perfectly - ask for a pointe if you like medium or medium rare. Arrive when they open as they don't seem to take bookings and be prepared... More

This is my favourite place to eat when I visit Nantes. The steak melts in your mouth it's cooked to perfection. The red wine is very drinkable. The profiteroles are delicious and server under a tower of vanilla ice cream. The waitresses are always very friendly and happy, they do an amazing job carrying so many plates up the stairs.... We had an inkling for some steak and low and behold Entrecôte was close to our hotel. Very consistent food quality and not expensive. Excellent steaks with that awesome sauce. If you're hungry and need some good food and good portions come here.

After living in Nantes for almost 5 years now and going to restaurants twice a week (at the very least). This is what i can say: a place we have to visit while in the city. Simple and consistent but very good quality and very good service (i can see some QC/QA methods). 100% recommendable even there's need to wait... More

Not much choice in the menu, but you can't be disappointed. You'll have good meat, cooked to your taste, French fries galore, green salad, nice desserts and red wine. Be sure to book or you'll have to queue up outside...

Good spread of quality products for breakfast were served here from 6:30 to 10:00 am. Room service of breakfast also available. Scrambled eggs - Britanny Crepes Bacon - Prunes flan some more cheese varieties are a Plus here than an Ibis.

We waited in line for this much touted steak frites restaurant. They only have one item on the menu and they do it well- steak frites! Once seated, we were completely ignored by the servers. Constant quality for a standard single menu of beef and frites. Good selection of a limited number of Bordeaux wines. A few desserts available
