A very traditional French brasserie in the centre of Nantes. It's situated in a busy square with traditional buildings all around and shops a few minutes away on foot. The interior is very quaint with tiles and many features. The foods is very good and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and in the summer you can eat on the terrace... More

Worth visiting just to see the design. Wonderful decor, beautifully painted walls etc, but staff were grumpy, food over priced. .we had afternoon tea...the hot chocolate was sharp and cloying, the cakes stale.

We went for a dinner at this legendary restaurant once, and I couldn't be more pleased. Great food, environment and service. It's one of the most expensive restos in town, but something it really worths trying.

The old building with an amazing interiors is worhing a visit. The surprise is that also the value for money is eccellent: we spent a reasonable amount to have a very good fish dinner. Just tables are too little.

Decor refreshing and authentic - menu interesting and very good - Staff welcoming and particularly polite. Having eaten in this restaurant more than 50 times it is one of those places you need to go. Even if just for an afternoon tea you need to have been there. Service is up and down - however they should staff at levels... More

If you do have an option to opt-outthe breakfast in your hotel I would recommend to start your day at La Cigale instead. The ambience is superb, service attentive and food delicious (go for grilled toasts with jam/caramel). When in Nantes do not miss this place.

The restaurant itself is a work of art, so go for a coffee, drink whatever but do not go for the food - very average. Service and prices impeccable.

Saturday lunch in Nantes, no reservation. We went mostly as my wife likes Art Nouveau and that feature is one of the major highlights of the restaurant. The decorations are stunning. The restaurant had a wide range of customers from impeccably-behaved children (obviuosly French) to old farts like us. Service was attentive and efficient (the waiter and maitre d' both... More
