Wonderful journey for the taste buds!

We saw the reviews for this restaurant and made a booking. We went for the surprise menu, 4 courses and 2 wines, and it far exceeded our expectations. It is a meal we will remember for a long time. Excellent food served by charming knowledgable staff, the menue is limited but the dishes are put together with real care and a flair for inovative sauces, although a small city center restaurant they boast a roof top herb garden. An indication of the effort the chef puts in to producing the best.Wine list particularly good on white wine and reasonably priced.

This restaurant thoroughly deserves its high TripAdvisor rating. It is situated in a fairly nondescript road, maybe 15 minutes away from the City centre. There is a sofa area for your aperitif and an elegant, unfussy, dining area. Having made a reservation well in advance for our dinner we were given an excellent table. Menu choices are slightly limited but... More

We dined at this restaurant based on the recommendation of a French friend and the good reviews in Trip Advisor. We could not have been more disappointed to have such a poor dining experience on our last night in Nantes. There were six of us and we mostly ordered the prix fixe menu. Two of us had the pork medallions... More

I mean the food is amazing seriously, We took the "decouvert menu", where you don't know what you gonna eat and it's really exciting, you got wine according to your meal, but maybe too small amount of wine ;-) A glass for two courses isn't enough, so you can buy yourself another one -glass or bottle-, but then price keep... Dining here is a real experience. First of all, you are invited to enjoy an apertif on the sofa, before you head to your table, which was a really pleasant way to start the evening. I recommend the surprise menu. We had five courses, paired with wines, and everything was delicious. The foie gras and the spicy calamari were the... More

We just enjoyed a fabulous and quite memorable lunch at L'u.ni. It is rare when all of the elements come together in a restaurant, but such was the case here. The ingredients and cooking is at the highest level, and there is absolutely no pretension about the place. I opted for the 4 course "surprise" menu. (There is a 5... More

U.ni was our favorite meal of a recent three week trip to France, which included over a dozen tasting menu’s sampled at a number of Michelin starred establishments. The dining room is airy and light and the young servers were professional. We enjoyed the six courses with wine pairings on a weekend evening. What set the meal apart was the... More

I visited this restaurant with my wife for a dinner. The room was sophisticated with white walls and wooden floor. We ordered lobster with vegetable, foie gras and duck. We were impressed with their presentation, which looked refreshing with green vegetables and small flower and were suited to the summer. Since the restaurant was full of the guests on Sunday... We visited l'u.ni on November 6th and had dinner. The meal was a choice of a la carte and a predefined 'surprise' meal consisting of 4 or 5 courses. I had the a la carte meal of an entree and a main course with dessert and the rest of our party had the surprise. We also had a bottle of... More
