When you come to Angers for la douceur de vivre, you also come for the typical food. With its specialties and friendly staff, Le Cremet is one of the restaurant in Angers where "il fait bon vivre". The wine selection is nice and even if the restaurant can be quickly full (noisy) that is part of the charm... French traditions... More

I had a great meal here with friends 18 months ago, and wrote a very positive review. This time was a let-down: things have changed. There seem to be fewer tables, and a less busy atmosphere. The signature dish, cremet d'anjou, is now served differently. The chef did not come out of the kitchen to chat to diners, as he... More

We arrived at 7.50 and only one other table had customers, later on the place was about 2/3 full. During that time the two waitresses were super efficient and pleasant. The meal was excellent? Worth a visit

Came here for lunch while passing through Angers. Food was not bad at all, but service was very very slow. We entered at 12:40h; and still had no drinks or order taken at 13:15h. Excellent value though for lunch menu. Due to the long waiting, we only took mains and dessert. All together not bad, but also nothing special. We... More

We are eight and we went here when we couldn't get a reservation at the Bon Repair. It was a good choice, not too expensive, rapid service and excellent local specialties. After the climb up the hill from the river we were hungry and thirsty and it fit the bill just right.

We arrived at 8.00pm and only 2 tables were occuppied. Ten minutes after we were seated the restaurant filled with French diners. A Parisien wine merchant who knew his food said 'it was excellent and affordable'. It certainly was. Superb food, good service and full on a Tuesday night in early Feb when most restaurants were empty. I would certainly... More
