Found this via TripAdvisor – well worth checking out

Whilst wandering around Angers, we were wondering what to do for dinner so checked out the suggestions from my fellow reviewers. This restaurant seemed to be well accepted so we booked a table via the app for later that day. A broad ranging menu, rather more expensive than some of the central... read more

When we arrived, we had a nice welcome, a table beside the window to enjoy the sun and light. The menu looks nice, I had a salad with foie-gras, duck, salmon and shrimps that was very nice but way too big to finish so I had to leave more than half of it. My boyfriend had the beef tartar "Italian... More

Dear Madam, We are disappointed to read that you met this problems in our restaurant. Regarding the food poisoning I hope your boyfriend feels better, but I'm really surprised because our tartar are hashed minute with a refrigerated mincer. Further more, we are working with a lab that takes samples every week to avoid food problems and to be sure... More

Considered that the brasserie is right opposite a train station, the food and service were much better than we had anticipated. We had dinner there before waving bye-bye to a friend. We ordered two Supreme of Chicken and a belly of pork. Everything was delicious and the prices very fair. For this quality of cooking, we would have to pay... More

Oysters are a speciality, but this reliable institution can be relied on to provide excellent dishes at a reasonable price, accompanied by good wine of the region and elsewhere

Just focusing on the food, the menu was really assorted, and the quality superb as well as the quantity. We had the idea to take, each one, a main, and share a salad, it was just impossible to eat everything. As main, both went for the beef tartar, that were so tasty. Service was friendly and opened. It is a... More

...absolutely fresh, and beautifully presented. Friendly and accurate advice on my wine choice. Presented the meal slowly, as l had asked; not cheap, but good value for the top quality. I'll be back, it's excellent.

Went here on a rainy Sunday as most of Angers was shut. What a disappointment. Maybe we chose the wrong dishes - other half had the sausage which he could not eat at all. I was looking forward to the eel but had a deep fried fish that was smothered in butter and garlic that was edible. This was the... More

This is one of Anger's old favorites, and rightly so. A good range, with oysters a speciality. The service is good, the prices acceptable, with a good selection of local wines. Well worth a visit.

Staff are beyond friendly and don't make you feel out of place to ask for help. But they beat you to the opportunity to ask, by giving you suggestions in a friendly manner. When I asked about mussels in white wine sauce, which wasn't on the menu, I was answered with it being served to me in under 10mins. Home... More
