Excellent place to go in Le Mans

Either for lunch or dinner, the 7 plats is a great place with a good atmosphere and very good value menus. If you don't want expensive bottles of wine then try the carafe's of red, white or rose which I think are always good. You will be wise to book, especially in the evening . . . most of the... read more

The 7 Plats is one of the best restaurants in Le Mans, they went out of their way to find us a table even though they were busy and turning people away. The service was excellent and the food as good as the TA rating

We stop in this place around 6 pm and everything was closed. We approaches the restaurant and they agreed to host us in half an hour even without booking. When come back, the meals were very good and perfectly cooked. Personnel was very friendly and meals were really awesome. The only bad thing was the cellar were we were sitting... More

This place is in the old medieval city of Le Mans. We managed to get a table without a reservation as the place was quite full (mostly all locals-big plus). The service was friendly and brisk. The menu offered many options and combinations. They stick to the 7 plates concepts and it works. I went with the house specialties and... More

We were stopping in Le Mans for one night on route to Caen. We found this restaurant from Trip Adviser and we were so pleased that we took the time to find it in the old town from our hotel near the rail station. the service was friendly and efficient, the menu choice was very good and the food was... When we arrived at the restaurant it was full. We were disappointed not having booked and thought we were going to miss out. However the staff made a plan and we got a small table downstairs. We found the staff really polite and friendly despite us barely being able to speak a word of French. The food was just heavenly.... More

I had a fabulous meal here with my two boys aged 11 and 14 eating from the euro 21.50 menu for 3 courses. Between us we had the fish and pork which were excellent! The puddings were fantastic especially the brioche and souffle. Service was exceptional and the cherry liquor at the end of the meal was wonderful end to... More

This restaurant is popular with the college students and the regulars, also usually some rowdy drinking crowds. The menu has mainly a choice of an expensive or a cheap 3 course meal. While handing you candy on your way out and offering a free cherry liqeur after dinner, they can't make up for the constant slips in customer service or... More

We have dined in some amazing places but L'auberge des 7 plats took us to culinary heaven in one evening. Friday night of the Le Mans Classic, the only booking we could get was 10:15pm but this suited us as we wanted to stay at the track as long as possibly, the maitre d' squeezed us in as it was... We picked Le Mans as our stop off so we could re-visit this super restaurant and we were not disappointed. The service was efficient and friendly as expected , my starter of Andouille sausage with forme d'ambert cheese was delicious - not always an easy choice as Andouille can be a little "whiffy" in some places but not here ,...
