Half heaven, half Hell

We were there 2 times and always had starters and main menu. The Oysters were brilliant and the meat was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the second time the shrimps were disappointing and the noodles tasted like the one you buy in the supermarket shelf. The Service was good, quick and friendly. I... read more

I have been there on a family trip, with my family members telling me that the place was amazing. I had a full meal there, and it is hard to determine whether it was amazing or just average. The oysters were great, as great as you could expect from a close to the sea restaurant. Other great surprise, the Pepper... More

My colleague and I decided on this place, among a host of other restaurants nearby, because it seemed like this was the place to be. We chose wisely. We were seated outside at what I think was the only remaining table, a great vantage point for people watching on the avenue. The service was friendly albeit a bit slow (which... More

Tried this place after a not so good experience over the road & the staff were much more attentive & tried harder to understand & communicate. It was really busy & they did well to seat us. Food was great, bit weird they allowed people to bring their dogs out for a formal meal & tie them to the table... More

Firstly, whoever designed this restaurant deserves an award.it is a great nautical style design with lots of tables on different levels that give diners privacy. There is also a small terrace on the first floor. Had two meals there a few weeks ago. Had lunch on Sunday, there was no formula menu on this day. Had dinner on Monday no formula... More

Our family went here during August, the menu is French, but our waiter was excellent and was kind enough to help out gaps in French. The food was superb, it seemed a very popular restaurant. I would recommend this place...

We visited here twice as a group of 5 ages ranging from 9 - 75 covering both the recommended lunchtime 'fixed price' menu and again later that week in the evening based on that experience! My 9 year old sorted on both occasions with what he describes as excellent chicken nuggets (and he's very fussy!) . We were warmly welcomed... More

Located just back from the sea front ,with 3 others on a traffic circle, La Villa was an intriguing place. A rather dark, but seemingly cool, interior was ignored in favour of a table on the terrace. The traffic was light so, not only did it not intrude ,it provided a bit of people watching .We were met by a member... More

We specially enjoyed the Tartare Aller / Retour with Gorgonzola, and Mousse au Chocolat, the Cafe Gourmand is also not bad. Taste delicious, clean, trendy atmosphere, a little expensive (~ 25 euros/pax) but you are in La Baule, so it is expected !
