Fabulous

La Marmite is a fabulous little french restaurant. An absolutely beautiful menu and a very nice wine list. The service was excellent. Sea bass was superb.

Small restaurant. Lovely menu. Great service. Superb food; well presented; well cooked and fresh ingredients. Very good wine list. Lovely owner (someone else said that he was "intimidating"???). Good value. Off the tourist track and largely locals.

Stay away from the Joan of Arc Square. This little gem is the real deal. The owner may look a bit intimidating and you will probably find only 3 tables occupied at lunch time, but you will get personal attention!

This restaurant is tastefully decorated and immaculate. The service is impeccable. The food is very good with lovely added touches such as "amuse-bouches", petits-fours and a mousse between courses. All very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and professional and attend to your every need. A very lovely evening. Brilliant bathroom too!

We have visited this restaurant before the last time we were in Rouen more than 10 years ago and we wee really interested to see if it was as good as we remembered. It was every bit as good and we had another fantastic meal. Marmite is on the western edge of the Old Market Square - which is blessed... More

Welcoming atmosphere, catered for inability to speak much French and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. The food was beautifully presented and arrived in a timely manner. The menu caters for a variety of budgets so you can feel like you are fine dining for a little less. The amuse bouche was fab, it included a savoury macaroon…the starter and... More

We visited LaMarmitte on a rainy and cold Friday night. Lovely setting with a decor of muted colors, lights are a bit bright for an intimate feel but the restaurant is overall very comfortable. The warm welcome and easy yet attentive service leave nothing to be desired and allow you to enjoy the evening fully. The food was exquisite, a... More

Had it not been for the recommendation of our hotel concierge, we might have missed out on this great dining experience. It's only one block away from Joan of Arc church - but not one we would have walked by in our touring of the historic city. The host made us feel like we were visiting family - it was... More

What a find, very quiet and delightful service form Monsieur with a nicely educated winelist. We ate extremely well form the €43 menu which was really good value. The food was exquisite and we were able to match a half bottle of the second wine of Chasse Spleen with the main course - very nice.

We dined in this small restaurant after being let down by the nearby Michelin Star 'Origine' restaurant (we had booked on the website two months in advance, but did not receive a reply). The restaurant is in a quiet side street, but not far from the bustling Old Market Square. We had the 'Decouvertes' menu (4 course), preceded by an... More
