My favorite restaurant in Rouen

Whether you like fish and seafood or not, you will be amazed by La Pêcherie. It's been more than 7 years that I eat there and it is always the same pleasure. Stephane the owner is adorable and you will enjoy chatting with him before each dish. He also has communicative enthusiasm and love to share... read more

We were on a river cruise on the Seine and stopped for a day in Rouen. Although we could have stayed on board for lunch, we decided we wanted to try a French restaurant within walking distance to the ship. We could see La Pecherie from the ship so I checked out their menu and found out the served skate... More

Having checked for a fish restaurant in Rouen through Tripadvisor this was a very good experience. We both had the seafood platter and an excellent bottle of chablis. There is nothing better than to slowly work your way through fresh seafood which is exactly what we did. The bread rolls are lovely and freely dispensed. Nothing is too much trouble... More

It is not easy to find a good seafood reastaurant in Rouen and this one is also a bit away from the center. It was recommended by our taxi driver and I was not disappointed at all. Selecting the three course menu we had a great salmon and tuna carpaccio, codfish and a nice dessert. The vine from Bourgone was... More

We were looking for a good seafood restaurant in Rouen and we were not disappointed. The staff were very good and were able to explain the various menu choices in English. The fruit de mer plates from the 33 euro menu were large and had a good variety of seafood, all very fresh and delicious. The main courses were also... More

Too few people have written about this. I could not wait. Was there with my friend without reservation on dinner on a Saturday in July. Got there early (around 7:30pm) and luckily got a table on the top floor. Bit of climb with steep stairs. Ordered two 35.5 euro 3-course menu plus 6 Normany oysters. If you like seafood this... What planet are these people on who have written these raving reviews. I really do rely on trip advisor before I book a table at any Restaurant, I can honestly say this is the worst meal I have ever had in decades of eating out in France. I really do not writing a negative review but the food is not... More

We stayed in Rouen for 2 nights.in the second night we went to eat at the La Pecherie. Stephan the owner welcomed us as we were the first at 1900 early evening. He had translated the French menu for us to English and was overall very nice. The dinner itself was superb!!! All the courses (3 of them each)different for... More

Went to have a 'fruits de mer' (seafood) platter at noon, together with my wife. After a rather disappointing seafood experience two days earlier at one of the so-called "best restaurants" of Etretat, we decided to try a seafloot platter again. It was top notch quality : a nice and general selection of various treasures the local coastal waters have... More

We hesitated before gong in. Approaching from the river bank the place seemed very uninspiring as there was no view into the restaurant and no clue as to what we could expect other than the menu on display. Throwing caution to the winds we took the plunge. Our gamble was rewarded with an excellent meal. Fruits de Mer, delicious fish... More
