A warm welcome

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is good. There were some flies around and I found a hair in my starter.

We had read about La Pecherie on TripAdvisor and most of the reviews were very good. We went without booking at 7:30 in the evening, when the restaurant had just opened and were able to get a table; we were lucky - the restaurant filled up quite quickly. The menu is quite short but the patron willingly explains, in French... More

Visited Normandy and ended our trip with 2 nights in Rouen . Found this restaurant close to our hotel ,Mercure Cathedral , and reserved a table . Oysters were wonderfully fresh . A taste of the sea ! Our seafood selection was delicious ! So delicious , we reserved again for the last night and had an equally memorable meal... More

From the moment we arrived, we were made welcome! The owner, who speaks English, offered to translate any items from the menu. All the staff were friendly. The menu choices were quite varied. We were presented with a complimentary starter which was a superb small "fruits de mer". The main course (Turbot for me & John Dori for my wife)... More

Excellent service from the restaurant owner and we received good recommendations from him and he managed to convince one of my friends who does not eat seafood at all.

Restaurant on two levels. Lower seemed more atmospheric but we ended up on upper floor. Crappy decor needs brightened up. The two staff covering our floor were struggling and also were fighting with each other. Make sure you have your dictionary to know what fish you are ordering. Hake, for example, is a pretty average fish and not to be... More

I was a bit skeptical when we walked in and there was no one in the place but we stayed and I'm so glad we did. Steak, scallops, risotto, oysters, and dessert that was to die for. So glad we stumbled into this little gem in Rouen. I wish I was back there!

Whether you like fish and seafood or not, you will be amazed by La Pêcherie. It's been more than 7 years that I eat there and it is always the same pleasure. Stephane the owner is adorable and you will enjoy chatting with him before each dish. He also has communicative enthusiasm and love to share about food and his... More

We were on a river cruise on the Seine and stopped for a day in Rouen. Although we could have stayed on board for lunch, we decided we wanted to try a French restaurant within walking distance to the ship. We could see La Pecherie from the ship so I checked out their menu and found out the served skate... More

Having checked for a fish restaurant in Rouen through Tripadvisor this was a very good experience. We both had the seafood platter and an excellent bottle of chablis. There is nothing better than to slowly work your way through fresh seafood which is exactly what we did. The bread rolls are lovely and freely dispensed. Nothing is too much trouble... More
