A superb experience all round

a wonderfull restaurant ,as soon as you enter it seems to take you into another world.Very cosy with a big fireplace and a good view of the place. A good qualite and not to expensive if you take the menu with the wine included. The carte seems to be quite expensive. The service is very good but not overpowering.

We were staying in Rouen for one night following a funeral, and our taxi driver recommended La Couronne. Luckily we were able to get a table and it was a beautiful meal. It's a real special occasion place. My husband had their 49 euro menu and thought it was really good value for money. Being gluten free j was nervous,... More

Good afternoon Swaddy 1, Thank you very much for sharing your experience. I am very happy that you enjoyed your meal with us. I agree that the cheese tray is a must. We are one of the last restaurant to offer no less than 21 local cheeses on the tray. Hope to see you again. Kind regards, More

This restaurant across from the spot where Jeanne D'Arc was burned at the stake continues to reign in setting magnificence. Gone are the days of Michelin Stars but the quality, presentation and service remain very pleasant indeed. This is wonderful for lunch with Fresh Dover Sole and a crisp Sancerre, but a romantic wonderland no doubt at night. Fair priced!

Good afternoon Oca 007, Thank you very much for your feedback. If you are interested in Jeanne d'arc you will be happy to know that the council is opening a brand new high-tec museum in february 2015. Our Chef, Vincent Taillefer, has been with us since the michelin star years and he is a dedicated chef, he has featured in... More

We loved the historical features, notoriety and décor as much as the food choices. Service was surprisingly good. The staff was very polite and helpful. Our language was somewhat of an obstacle, but we managed. Of course we spent a great deal of money, but enjoyed ourselves and the French cuisine while we were dining. By the way, the cheese... More

We had the gourmet meal and the wine. The atmosphere was great, the service impecable and the food brilliant. Everything was at should be in an establishment such as this. One of the best meals we had on our latest trips to France.

This dining event was truly one of the highlights of our River Cruise! Our 3 hour plus, experience started with a warm welcome upon arrival. Drink orders were taken and arrived with a "bonus" appetizer that we enjoyed while we studied the menu! Being a Chef, I like to really READ the menu without being rushed. We ended up choosing... Good Afternoon Jane P, What can i say? i am left speechless by your comments. Your words describe exactly what we have been aiming for since day one (my parents bought a derelict La couronne in the early 90's with vincent Taillefer, our head chef to this day, as a then sidekick) and the road has been long and difficult....
