Our family visited on July 5, 2014. There were seventeen of us, at three separate tables. Almost all of us ordered from the 35 Euro formule. What we experienced ranged from the waiter bringing food nobody had ordered (entrees to the two people who had just ordered main courses, the wrong desserts for those of us who had ordered formules),... My wife and I visited in June 2014 for the 5th time, this time with 2 friends from Sweden. We opted for the 35 euro 4 course dinner and added a half bottle of wine each for an extra 14 Euros. As always, the entire meals were superb with excellent choices for each course. La Couronne is the oldest auberge... More

We been recommended this place by a friend. This restaurant has a history since 1345. So being in Rouen we had to experience it. We came early for dinner, so we had a wonderful service, since there was only us and another table. We started from a bottle of white wine. My friend had oysters which he said was of... More

We had some of the best fish dishes ever at La Couronne. The entertainment of the evening was watching them prepare pressed duck. Meal was not inexpensive but worth the price.

Had been to La Couronne twice before for the Canard Rouanaisse. Last week we returned for what we thought was another treat. The waiter seemed to ignore us for awhile waiting for another couple to arrive who were ordering the same dish (which requires much preparation). He then went through the lengthy preparation and said the duck breast would simmer... More

10 of us from a cruise to Normandy came for dinner, based on e recommendation of our concierge . Food was very good,as was the wine. The price was not cheap, but very reasonable for the quality of the food , which was very good. HThe service was terrible!! For most of the night we were practicably ignored. I hope... More

After several decades since our last visit to La Couronne in Rouen, we made a reservation well in advance to secure a table for two in the small and intimate main room on the ground floor. This second visit for dinner was as memorable as the first and we fell in love with this historic restaurant once again. The ambiance... More

What a lovely restaurant Where so many famous people have dined... The walls are covered by the photographs of the celebrities but it's the food that will stay in your mind longer!! :) I had oysters to start and my partner had smoked salmon. Both were lovely and then followed the Côte de boeuf to share which was perfectly cooked... More
