Great evening!

We had a lovely evening here on Saturday, the food was great! Would highly recommend. We turned up early as there was 9 of us and we hadn't booked. Within 1/2 hour the place was packed. Service was good although a little slow due to the fact they were so busy, a few extra waiters/waitresses would... read more

One of only 2 places we found open on a Sunday as we travelled through. Excellent service. Lovely croissant. The hot chocolate was a tad watery but then again I am fussy!! They always had a queue for their bread.

Friendly service nice location unfortunately it got busy and our remaining dessert and coffees took half an hour to come out. Food was nice quality though.

We visit all cities with our dog, so the visit of a church is always splitted into 2 parts - one visits church another waits outside with the dog. This place is perfect to get some cold refreshments and wait or just stay a while and enjoy the near of the cathedral. Service is friendly and quick. Recommended

We arrived at town late at night and this was the eatery close to our hotel which still served food. The tuna salad was very good and sophisticated. The apple cider was extremely tasty. Service was attentive and staff were very patient explaining to us in English. We were very thankful that the place opened till so late so we... More

Visited Paul's brasserie for a quick, take-out family lunch on the self-same square, where Monet famously painted the beautiful cathedral at Rouen. Delicious food at very reasonable prices!

I went to Brasserie Paul for a quick lunch; it was enjoyable. Many plates on the menu seemed quite highly priced (especially the Croq Monsieur), but I chose the dish of day (salmon tartare at that time) and it was the right choice. It was a large dish and for sure I didn't need any started. But I had some... More

Open until 11 for food, and the owner (I think) was very helpful. This place was about the only cafe/restaurant in the historic centre that had any vegetarian options on the menu at all - albeit only in the starters/small plats. We had the aubergine which was really, really nice, and a welcome couple of beers. Only downside was the... More

We ate here a few days ago.We ordered Chicken in Cider sauce which came with French fries and a few leaves of salad. The chicken was barely hot and, had no more that a spoonful of sauce poured over the skin which was insufficient to alleviate the dryness of the meat. The chips were not freshly cooked ,and were only... More

Next to the cathedral. The food is simple and tasty and reasonably priced. The service is friendly. If it was good enough for Simone de Beauvoir, it's good enough for me.
