Great lunch!

After visiting the Musee de Beaux Arts in Rouen I looked at reviews on TripAdvisor for a place to have lunch. La Buissonniere had good reviews so we walked over. Alley it's located on looked pretty dead and didn't spot the restaurant until we were very close. Were welcomed by the woman who appears... read more

Swift service albeit when just opened for lunch. Plat de jour adequate, braised beef and frites. House wine in a pichet just acceptable. €28 okay for a late breakfast. Can't comment on formulae or evening dining. Enjoyed.

On our way back to the Gare, we took a shortcut through what appeared to be a small alley and came upon this little gem. Given our time before the train was plentiful, we decided to grab a late lunch here. We both had the plat du jour, which for our day was Salade Nicoise, sautéed chicken (and frites!) with... More

We had a lovely meal here for Saturday lunch. The menus were good value and varied, and we were well served by the charming husband and wife team. The restaurant catered equally well for adult and children guests.

My friend and I just chanced upon this restaurant on our way to the cathedral. And lo and behold, what a pleasant surprise. Call it serendipity. The food was superb, the presentation was beautiful, and the service was remarkable. And to think there was only one woman attending to the tables. I want to go back to this restaurant next... More

It's a little off the beaten track, up an alley, away from the more expensive tourist traps of the old town. However it is well worth searching out. It is a lovely simple French restaurant. It seems to be run by a husband and wife combo. The husband cooks, and the wife runs the tables. I'd like to confirm this,... More
