This is a lovely, classic French restaurant in an old timbered building. We were greeted warmly on a chilly, wet evening. After an aperitif, a lobster ravioli amuse-bouche appeared, which was delicious. We chose the gastronomique menu, which was a mistake, only because it was too much to eat! Two fish courses, a meat course and dessert. All of it... More

Wonderful customer service helped make this scrumptious 7-course meal an evening to remember! Everything we ate tasted terrific, and a was a work of art.

Small but perfectly formed restaurant near the old market. The food was excellent, the wine wonderful and the staff attentive. The weather was so good that we sat outside in the attractive courtyard but the inside looked inviting too. We opted for a main course and dessert which was just as well as with the amuse bouche and petit fours... More

I read the reviews so we were expecting a lot when we arrived. We were not disappointed. Such a cozy, intimate atmosphere within the traditional style building with a few modern touches. Only about 10 tables inside. The staff was very attentive and tried hard to communicate even if they could not speak English. The food was delicious, fresh with... More

Truly French, this small airy restaurant near the market has again such fresh tasting food that unlike in the USA it seems as if everything has been prepared just for you.

Went to this place on recommendation of Pudlo book, and what a great choice. We ordered 5 course dinner, and you better come hungry my friends, the portions were more then generous and it was so hard to eat all of it. The taste is wonderful, presentation is beautiful and service is super nice. I really enjoyed our dinner, stop... More

Very attractive restaurant in old Rouen. The cuisine was of a high standard with a modern twist. Minor disappointment was with the staff/management who were professional yet distant. Given most of their customers were tourists that evening the staff did not make any extra effort to be helpful when asked about particular aspects of certain dishes.

We had dinner here one night while staying in Rouen. It was recommended by the owner of the hotel we stayed in. Food was great and well presented. Perhaps a little overpriced for what we got but still very good.

We visit Rouen regularly, and have gotten to know where to eat dependent on what the occasion is. Les Nympheas is a real hidden gem. Actually it is literally hidden, down a small alley, off the end of the square where you find the Eglise Sainte-Jeanne D'Arc. The food is traditionally high end French cuisine. The atmosphere is again, traditional.... More
