Formal but not too; good cuisine; good value

Very nice gourmand dining in the old town. Several menus at dinner (website accurate at the time we went; http://www.lesnympheas-rouen.com/gallery.html). Conventional well executed dishes; roast marrow with asparagus starter was exceptional, stuffed lamb saddle a tad overdone, definitive cheese board, and smartly executed desserts. Service utterly professional, but not in the least condescending. Bordeaux/Bungundy-centric wine list, reasonably priced. Maitre'd guided... More

First of all let me make clear that this review is not about the food at this restaurant as we never actually got to eat any! Our hotel booked a table for us for 7.30. We arrived a little early at 7.20 and was greeted with some confusion as the waitress did not know what table to put us on... More

Formal French dining in a beautiful room on Place Vieux Marche. Delicately done twist on old French favourites. Maybe a little overpriced. Full of French people on a Saturday evening.

We have both taken the menu gastronomique and we were very satisfied with what we got: great taste, beautiful presentation of the food. Service was slightly slow but it turned out to be better as we had enough time to digest in between every course and didn't feel too stuffed.

This is a beautiful restaurant with great food, attentive staff and a lovely feel to the place. The poached pear dessert with chocolate is a must. We had a leisurely dinner as a family and would definitely recommend it.

They have a really young talented chef, the food is really good and hot , the service is professional and the decoration is classy. I recommend to eat their signature lobster with the wine sauce.

This place is quite simply amazing. My wife and I are still amazed that you can get such and amazing array of servings for such a small amount of money. Every dish served oozes of creativity and quality. Respect!

My sister and I have just returned from a great few days in Rouen, lots of brilliant restaurants to chose from but this was by far the best meal we had whilst in France. The surroundings were lovely, the service was excellent and the food was absolutely gorgeous! A MUST if you are in Rouen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and would not hesitate to return. The interior of the restaurant is very nice but on a warm day, it would be nice to dine on the terrace. My meal began spectacularly when the glass cover was lifted from my entree at the table to release fragrant smoke from my hay smoked langoustine in... More

This is a lovely, classic French restaurant in an old timbered building. We were greeted warmly on a chilly, wet evening. After an aperitif, a lobster ravioli amuse-bouche appeared, which was delicious. We chose the gastronomique menu, which was a mistake, only because it was too much to eat! Two fish courses, a meat course and dessert. All of it... More
