Very good; great service

Very busy, characterful restaurant that is actually quite difficult to find in Paris these days. Very positive, strong and friendly maître d'hôtel directed affairs and all with a smile and wink; made us feel at home. Reasonably priced food, but not a particularly enjoyable meal and only went there because it was the only one in the vicinity that was open on a Sunday. Very average quality and not prepared or presented with any finesse.

I arrived in Le Havre today (Sunday). Since many restaurants are closed on Sundays and Le Bistrot Parisien is near to Hotel Carmin where I'm staying, I'd dinner there tonight. I must say that the price was very reasonable (21.9 euros for a 3-course menu). If you want to take the foie gras as entree, you'd need to pay 3... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the receptionist at our hotel. we were not disappointed, in fact we could not find another restaurant to better it for food or value. €21 for prix menu in an evening with a choice of 6 starters and main courses, I didn't notice the choices of dessert after I saw that there was lemon... We loved this restaurant opposite the gardens and fountains . Superb blonde beer and one of the best steaks I have had in a long time,my wife's salmon was well seasoned moist and with the pasta an excellent dish. When you see locals walk straight in with out looking at the menu you know your on to a good thing... More

Was recommended this place by a friendly taxi driver while looking around for a bite to eat during an evening out in Le Havre. Located on the main road next to the beautiful hotel De Ville. Seating arrangement is available outdoors and indoor also. it can get a bit cramped when full as the seats are quite close and you... More

We chose this resteraunt because they were displaying a certificate saying how good they were in 2014. Whoever produced this certificate has never eaten outside France so has no concept of modern standards that are expected throughout western Europe. The menu it's vast and has clearly not changed in any detail except the prices since the 1960's. There is nothing... More

We went (two adults and two children) on a Saturday. It can get very full, but we changed to 19.00 and there was plenty of room. Heroic portions, as we tucked into snails (by the dozen) and seafood. Classic, straightforward bistro cooking, reflecting the maritime traditions. Family friendly. A good selection of drinks, from local ciders and calvados to Provence... More
