Best meal in Honfleur

Superb, exquisite menu and excellent service, very efficient and polite, even with a full restaurant. Relatively expensive (about €50 per person) but in line with the others.

We had a great supper in this restaurant. The waitress took her time to chat with us. There isn't very much on the menu, but what's there is amazing. The menu's can best be described as updated tourist-menu's. Perhaps not the best place to bring your children (and thats a plus to me).

We went here based on Tripadvisor reviews regarding the blend of price and quality. The small restaurant was very cosy and the staff friendly. As soon as we said "Bon soir," the server answered in English. The fixed price menu, although limited, offered us choices we liked. My husband had the fish soup and I had a pate appetizer. We... Very limited selections in both menu offerings and wines. An expensive beef emince was tough to the point of inedible but a fish soup enjoyed by my wife quite pleasant. A 2012 Cotes de Blaye was a stunning euro 33. Two tables had small children at 9 pm. This rendered the ambience insufferable. Service was pleasant if slow... An Hors... More

Based on tripadviser's rating went there for dinner. It is a very classic restaurant. The deco, arrangement, the music... I just like the way this organized shop did with their setting. But of course the main thing are the food. They are all very good, the oyster, the fish soup, the beef, the cod and the desserts. Most important the... More

My husband and I absolutely loved our dinner at La Tortue. Off the beaten tourist track, this small restaurant features the freshest locally grown food and a creative menu. Make reservations because it's popular with the locals.

We were so hoping this was going to be a great experience as it had been recommended to us AND it was our final dining experience in France before heading home to the UK.! When we walked in we were not greeted immediately....the restaurant was quite full but...oh! SO quite....and not in a good way! We soon realised why we... More

Honfleur has some amazing restaurants and some mediocre touristy ones. But this is a nice, smart restaurant that is not excessively expensive or over-formal or touristy. You get the feeling that locals eat here. Plus, rarely for France, there is a distinct vegetarian choice on the menu. Kudus.

Walked by the bigger places near the harbor to this quieter spot for a lovely dinner with great service. Roasted duck was delicious. I loved the apple baked in phyllo dough with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. Dinner here and at Le Gambetta were our favorites in Honfleur.
