Walked by the bigger places near the harbor to this quieter spot for a lovely dinner with great service. Roasted duck was delicious. I loved the apple baked in phyllo dough with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. Dinner here and at Le Gambetta were our favorites in Honfleur.

My husband and I were so fortunate to eat at the lovely La Tortue. It was the best meal of our trip so far. The place is cute inside and the chefs wife Victoria is warm and welcoming. The English menu descriptions don't really let you know how delicious and surprising the food is going to be. My husband ordered... More

Nice, modern and playfull aproach on french cuisine with som tropical touches. The restaurant have a colourfull inside in torquise theme and some turtoises and a big shelf of wines and ciders. Very cozy, englishspeaking personel, maybe a bit to big portions. Very nice food, and lot to chose from. Maybe a bit to populare amongst tourist but not the... More

The atmosphere was delightful, the service excellent, the presentation lovely, the starter and dessert very good, but the main which was pork was so salty that it was the only flavor that came through. That is why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.

We were in France for ten days and this was one of the best meals we had. We were looking for another restaurant which was full and La Tortue was on the same street so we decided to try it. It was wonderful. The food was wonderful and the service was great. It is a charming little gem off the... More

Having explored the area we liked the look of the menu and saw Tripadvisor sticker in the window then checked the reviews. Based on the reviews we ate there the following evening and enjoyed a delicious freshly cooked meal. The restaurant was immaculately clean with sparkling glasses on the table and the staff very helpful and friendly. We chose the... More

Went in early September. Nice atmosphere, with room enough between tables, which doesn't happen frequently in a bistro. Nice location, easy to get to. Good food. I'd go again.

Very good food for decent price. Second time we have been and would recommend this restaurant. Waitress speaks a little English, set meals or a la carte gives plenty of choice. Give this one a try

We only had one night in Honfleur but by pure chance we could not have found a better restaurant. We always work on the premise of not eating in the main square, which in Honfleur is the harbour area. So having explored the outer area we came across a restaurant that looked good but next door was La Tortue. We... More

My wife and I dined at La Tortue last night. A wonderful experience all around. Each course was delicious. My soup with oysters and apples was sublime. The duck and sole main dishes were both exceptional and well sized. Its cosy romantic ambiance and friendly service are such a nice change from the crowds and fare at the old port.
