It's small - probably just eight tables. It's more wine bar than restaurant though the wine is curious - no names, just three types of wines of each colour described in detail by the patron. The red wine we chose was very good, the rosé less so. The food was ok though the fish gratin wasn't hot and was taken... More

At first glance it's not particularly enticing but well worth venturing inside. Very French, as one would imagine. Well used by friendly welcoming locals. with equally friendly staff. Relatively simple but well prepared and tasty food with an extensive range of wines, by the glass or by the bottle, overseen by a knowledgable proprietor. All sensibly priced and comfortable.

Very small place with only like 8 to 10 tables. Staff was super nice and we had the meat plate and a gallette with potatoes and both were great. Not a very large menu, but everything looked great.

We were staying in town for one night, and liked what we saw on tripadvisor. Great quirky yet traditional feel, very warm welcome, simple dishes and platters beautifully presented. We had a mixed cheese and meat sharing platter and a vegetable tart with a glass of wine and cider for €33.

We both enjoyed rustic but very good quality sharing platters. Bacaretto had a fantastic French ambiance with a very old fashioned and romantic Café feel. However beware of the drinks prices. We paid 27 Euros for a house red and 3.5 Euros for a very small glass of Cider for an aperitif. Don't let that put you off but factor... More

Wonderful small restaurant-cosy and very eclectic. Owner is extremely friendly, passionate and speaks English well. Menus are written on boards around the restaurant and waiter will explain them to you. Can't complain about the food as meals were excellent. Coffee was great too. Would recommend you try the crepe with dark chocolate and white pepper for something a little different.... More

The food was very good. Really simple local food cooked well. The price was fine, being less than 70Euros, including 1 bottle of wine and couple of drinks. The beauty of this place was the atmosphere. Think 1960,s Paris cafe. Small cafe bar, great decor, friendly relaxed service. Worth visiting

A tiny place away from the restaurants and cafés hugging the waterfront. The wine list is very good. The owner who waited on us at first gave us his recommendations which we followed. We were not disappointed. The food is simple, and so different from the waterfront restaurants and cafés serving the almost obligatory seafood which after a few days... More
