Very good value in a sunny spot au coin de la place

Whilst the Corsair has no pretensions, it certainly gave us a super, value for money lunch for 14.50 Euros. The moules a la creme backed by fish brochettes, creme caramel and tarte de pommes really fitted the bill for us. The service was prompt, warm and attentive throughout. All in all, a... read more

We are a couple of barely French speakers from the US and we came to this street looking for another restaurant which was closed. I said to my Other Half, "hey, look at all the people eating there!" I'm glad I went with my instincts. This place was packed on a lovely Spring afternoon and we both went with the... More

The Ladies running this restaurant were the most helpful and friendly we found during our 4 nights in Honfleur. They were brillant with our two girls, particularly the fussy 5 year old. Since some restaurants we visited were very much 'take it or leave it' in terms of service this made a welcome change. The menu is very much fish... More

This authentic restaurant is located on the market square across from Saint Catherine's church. The warm welcome was only made better by a warm fire and a bottle of red from Cote du Rhone. Mussels and salmon were are chosen main courses from a reasonably priced menu. The large fresh bouquets of flowers on every table only added to the... More

Honfleur is a little coastal city, at North Sea, about 100 Km away of Paris, where Seine River reach the Ocean. On Feb it's frozen! So, a warm and cozy restaurant to dinner is a must. Le Corsaire is litle, about 6 or 7 tables inside. Just the owner and a waiter. Good food(seafood for sure!) , wine and a... More

Stayed in Honfleur in October. Many restaurants were closed and we were fortunate to find Le Corsaire. What a warm charming place. The four of us each chose something different from the menu. Mussels and shrimps first course were delicious with large servings. Our entrees were wonderful and desserts as well. Service was great even though we spoke litter french... More

Family run restaurant. Friendly and very attentive staff/owner. Food was average, edible but not great and not good enough to recommend. Mussels were extremely small and the fish on the brochette was dry. My husband liked his salmon dish. I would not really recommend this restaurant. I only chose it because most other restaurants were closed.

Family run restaurant. Always a warm welcome, fresh food made to traditional recipes, some of the best sauces around. Oseille sauce is outstanding. Menus are good value. We have eaten here for 30years and our 3 girls now take their families It's one of those must do things our grandchildren insist on ........a visit to the Corsaire

Went to this restaurant with a group but the service was individualized. Food was good and prices were reasonable. Only negative was that the napkins were very damp - apparently not thoroughly dried after washing. Wife's was so bad that she gave it to the waitress, but never received a replacement.

We ate in this restaurant for lunch in early July. Most people were eating outside and there was no free tables,so, as it was a bit chilly and windy, we ate indoors. I can't remember the prices of the lunch set menus, but most restaurants charge around 13-16 euros, which is quite cheap for Australia. Nice atmosphere, very polite staff.... More
