Gourmet food, charming ambiance and good service!

A very charming restaurant with excellent food. The portions were generous. Despite visiting on a Tuesday night in the middle of February this place was full of guests - a good sign!

Walking to the restaurant on a chilly January evening, we passed numerous restaurants, either closed, empty or with just a 2 or 3 diners. I was beginning to wonder why other reviewers had written that a reservation was a necessity.... until we walked in. We were welcomed in by delightful staff, and given a table near the large log fire.... More

After reading all the great reviews on trip advisor and not being able to get a table as it was so full, we booked in advance and really looked forward to our meal. We loved the cosy atmosphere and found the staff efficient and friendly, but the food was dissapointing. My terrine starter was good but my husband didn't enjoy... More

Visiting in early January we were glad we had reserved a table as the restaurant was full. Lovely room with an open fire. The menu offered several different set menus and A la Carte. Two of us opted for the 25 euro set menu and two chose from the A la Carte menu. We were all happy with our food.... More

As no-one would answer my emails I eventually phoned three weeks in advance to book a table - luckily I had as the restaurant was full. Lovely room with beams and a large fire. Service was very friendly and very good. Food was also very good and even those of us who had the "set menu" found that the food... More

I would not be surprised to hear this is a popular restaurant. We were there in September and it was quite full. We had an excellent three course meal for 25 Euros each. The waitress was impressed with my husband's French. His mother would be proud as that is his mother tongue. The service was good and we had a... More

We got one the few unreserved tables and I'm glad we did. We both opted for the à la carte. I had carpaccio and St Jacques, both full of flavour. My partner had the fish which was served on the bone with the head. The only fault was the smoke from the fire. The staff were really helpful and assisted... More

Our hotelier was quite right to recommend this and a few other restaurants that do not necessarily attract the tourists. We all had the set menu and it was good value, generous and delicious. Delightful service too.

This is a cosy, romantic place with a lovely open fire in the middle of the dining room. My wife chose the € 34 menu, consisting of four courses. I went for the à la carte formula. As starter she took hot oysters. I went for the sea fish "starter" (without lobster), a lovely, but huge plate with crab, langoustines,... More
