Traditional restaurant well known for its fruits de mer. Excellent service and beautiful and delicious seafood. Nice terrace at the harbor.

What can you expect from a restaurant located at the most visited place in Honfleur? Nice or bad food ... It doesn't matter as those places are always fully booked. With those low expectations, we had a quick lunch at "au vieux Honfleur". The service was friendly and that was the only positive. The food was made without any passion.... More

My first impression of this restaurant was that it was overpriced, an impression which remained throughout my meal. Service was slow and they failed to provide small things, such as plates and butter for the bread provided before the meal. We sat outside, and the view was lovely apart from the vast amounts of tourists walking past and stopping to... More

The set menus are good value and offer interesting and local dishes. The fish soup was tasty and generous as was the starter of salmon. Main course fish dishes were also well presented and good quality. The desserts were also excellent. Sitting out overlooking the harbour eating a good standard meal on a warm night, hard to beat at these... More

We stopped for lunch here on a sweltering day in July, and had a very pleasant light lunch. My wife had the prawns, and I had mussels. The service was quick, with drinks arriving swiftly after ordering and was followed quickly by our food. The prawns were well presented, if not a little cold (stood waiting for the mussels?) but... Unlike other reviewers, we appreciated this restaurant. The food is not Michelin star level, but it was good for just an ordinary evening when you want good food without a lot of fuss. The daurade fish was cooked properly and the chocolate desserts were good. Mostly we appreciated the warm welcome given us by the manager, who clearly aimed to... More

Having visited this restaurant a number of years ago we were looking forward to a good quality meal. We paid 33 euro per head for some of the most amateurish cooking experienced in a long time. My fish soup starter was dull and lacked the depth of flavor required to make this an interesting dish. My wife's starter, assiette de... More

This restaurant was practically the only one opened in Honfleur at this time of the year. The room is very old and not very neat. The waitress was very amateur going around for nothing. We chose "le menu des peintres" with a starter and a main course and cheese. The starter was just acceptable and the main course which was... More

We have a home close to Honfleur and consequently visit the beautiful town frequently. On a recent rainy Saturday evening, having made a reservation, we arrived to find the restaurant packed with the manager/plus just one other waiter taking orders. Any attempt to attract the attention of either of them to place our order was ignored. After forty minutes we... More

The food is good and the restaurant is situated right on the harbour, facing the rip-off tourist quarter ( so I've been told ) The € 21 menu ( the cheapest one ) was good but we had so little in our plates ! An hour after we had finished our meal, we were already hungry again !
