Unbelievably awful!

So many restaurants, so little time to chose. We wanted lunch before the crowds became unbearable, and every restaurant along the harbor has someone beckoning us to have a seat. After initially selecting La Cabane du Pecheus we had second thoughts. The host was aloof and not especially responsive to my request we be seated out of the sun. But... More

Comically awful. Not sure where to start but this was the worst meal of my life. We sent back 2 out of 4 dishes. How can you get oven chips so wrong and the fish was well past it's best. Sadly pouring cold cream over it completely failed to disguise this. That's to say nothing of the utterly miserable service... More

I love Honfleur and its vibrant atmosphere. We visited this restaurant in pouring August rain and positioned ourselves inside the canopy, looking out on the wet marina. There were not many diners that lunchtime in Honfleur, due to the weather. The waiting staff just stood around chatting. They looked annoyed when I flagged them for any assistance. They needed reminding... More

If there was zero star I would've given it. Horrible service. Horrible food. My 1 year old son got sick and is still sick from the fish soup we ate there. The waiter is amazingly rude. (the guy with a lot of hair gel and a massive nose) I want to punch his nose actually. Incredible they are still in... More

There are many restaurants in the port area that have changed over the past five years to cater mainly for tourists and visitors off the Seine boats and cruise ships, this is one of them, dingy interior with tables close together, speedy service dispensing simple food passed off as local dishes, a mix of waiting staff roaming around in their... There are a lot of places to choose from all around the main harbour and it's anyone's guess which are the good ones let alone the best ones. We usually just pick the ones that look popular or look a bit different. This one was both. The staff were OK, and the food was OK. It did seem very expensive... More

This restaurant is nicely located on the harbor….and they manage to attract tourists because of this location….…..the waitress is all but professional…..there is a guy looming around telling stupid joke… very bad food, frozen stuff, not homemade…quick money made …..wine list….a joke…6 wines… no taste…. nothing…nothing…. it was probably the worse dining experience in my entire life…. ( believe me…i... More

We stayed overnight in the beautiful town of Honfleur, and walked round the harbour to be made very welcome by a waiter, who provided us with a table by the harbour. We chose off one of the set menus, and enjoyed Oysters, and Moule et Frites followed by Chocolate Mousse. All in all an excellent meal in a beautiful setting.

The bottle of Cote de Provence was very pleasant, if rather expensive, and the location on the harbour lovely. My husband provided the scintillating conversation as usual which was just as well since we had to wait almost an hour for our very disappointing main course to appear. SO ... If you are looking for good food and friendly staff... More
