Great place for crepes and gallettes!

We were again very lucky to judge this book by its cover, wandering in off the busy streets of Honfleur and finding a seat almost immediately in this rustic warm little hideout. They handed us a menu in French which I struggled with (relying solely on my high school French) and the waiter offered... read more

The place is famous for its excellent buckwheat crepes. It is easy to locate in city center. The sweet crepes are served with perfect home made caramel sauce. It is one of the authentic places for true normandaise delights. The cider is served in traditional clay cups.

We stopped here for desert and cider after dinner elsewhere and the ladies were lovely. The food was incredibly reasonably priced and just delicious - chocolate sauce was thick and delicious - proper dark chocolate with cream. Very relaxed atmosphere. Definately one to try.

We went twice, first for drinks as we'd already eaten, then for food. Glad we went back. The food is surprisingly filling, I had assumed I would be able to manage dessert but no chance! Shame as we were leaving later that day so I didn't get to try the sweet options. Looking forward to returning to find out wat... More

Saw this place whilst wandering around Honfleur and thought we'd give it a spin. Started with a pitcher of the draught cider (for the price of a glass in other Honfleur venues). A lovely gallette and one of their speciality crepes later two very satisfied customers paid a reasonable bill, well worth a visit. Very attentive service and even situated... More

Honfleur is place loaded with restaurants! It's a tourist city and therefore most places know you are probably not going to come back. So some places just serve the food, take your money and move on. Then there are the RESTAURANTS of Honfleur. We were there with our photography group for three days. Because Lynette and I are sunrise and... More

We had the goat cheese and ham buckwheat crepe (galette) and the mushroom galette. The mushroom was the winner. The cider is served in traditional bowls and was lovely. It is easy to find and pretty tasty.

The staff kindly agreed to make crepes for us even though we had arrived outside their lunch/dinner serving windows. The crepes were good but not exceptional. The cider was very good. Cider is known in this area. Not like the apple cider we have here at Thanksgiving. Their cider has alcoholic content (though very, very little) and is barely sweet.... More

Lunch crepe appeared to be buckwheat............more brown than most crepes we have had. The menu has many choices, including vegetarian. The dessert crepe was a lighter color and, again, many choices......all good. And, yes, the cider is also quite good. Do not know if they take reservations............we were there for lunch and it was very busy. English was not a... More
