A definite cut above the many restaurants in Honfleur with out being over priced. Delicious food. Good value wine list offering a complete range price wise and choice. Excellent service and ambiance. Will go back when in the area again.

Visiting Honfleur at the start of July we stopped at the L'Absinthe for a quick lunch on arrival and were enticed to stay for hours. Having visited several times in the past we were expecting something special and got just that, from the oysters to the cheese. It has always been a class act and I thoroughly recommend it to... In a very tourist area we found this restaurant to be of a much higher standard than the many restaurants in the surrounds. Honfleur is full of tourists the buses just keep coming , so to find a restaurant with professional staff , and value for money was very lucky. For 28 euro we had 6 oysters each (amazing fresh... One is treated very well in L'Absinthe-- the waiters are quick and skillful. The food is excellent, nicely prepared and tasty; of course, fish is what to get when you smell the sea. Expensive but worth it.

This is what people are looking for no matter from where in the world you are. It is excellence French style. I am always happy to go there because I know that even if... More

A beautiful view of the harbor with the full moon rising above it. We were the first in the restaurant on this Friday night, five adults and a baby. We were very well attended to, by what at first seemed to be the only person in the place, but soon grew to a sizable team, over the course of our... More

Nicely situated facing the harbour. This fine dining restaurant has a closed in glass frontage so dining here gives an inside/outside feel which is nice. Lovely white linen clothed tables, with upmarket china and glassware. Staff are welcoming and attentive. The food matches the ambience! Would recommend the oysters.

We arrived at Honfleur just in time to catch lunch and found this covered terrace nicely located on the port a walking distance away from the vieux bassin. Given the price range we were the youngest customers but couldn't care less. The menu had mouthwatering dishes and we were hungry. The food is nicely presented, very refined and taste great.... More

Firstly it is very expensive, the food is not of a high standard even when you order within a set menu at 53 euros each, supplements for very tough lobster within price was disappointing, but I do have to say that the service was good and we were looked after well. I was hoping for a delicious and memorable last... More
