It is expensive for a 5 people family comparing to what we got. Service is very good with waiters very well trained. Food was good but more towards the 'nouvelle cousine' side

Whenever I find a place that is busy and in the middle of tourist attraction I expect very little. L'Absinthe was an exception. The decor is lovely, inviting and warm. The bar has good selection of single malts and beers. The wine list is also excellent. The meal was a great mix of seafood as one would expect but they... More

Meat and fish were tender and well cooked, staff were friendly, atmosphere good - for the price hoped for something a little bit more - however would still recommend it

A definite cut above the many restaurants in Honfleur with out being over priced. Delicious food. Good value wine list offering a complete range price wise and choice. Excellent service and ambiance. Will go back when in the area again.

Visiting Honfleur at the start of July we stopped at the L'Absinthe for a quick lunch on arrival and were enticed to stay for hours. Having visited several times in the past we were expecting something special and got just that, from the oysters to the cheese. It has always been a class act and I thoroughly recommend it to... In a very tourist area we found this restaurant to be of a much higher standard than the many restaurants in the surrounds. Honfleur is full of tourists the buses just keep coming , so to find a restaurant with professional staff , and value for money was very lucky. For 28 euro we had 6 oysters each (amazing fresh... One is treated very well in L'Absinthe-- the waiters are quick and skillful. The food is excellent, nicely prepared and tasty; of course, fish is what to get when you smell the sea. Expensive but worth it.

This is what people are looking for no matter from where in the world you are. It is excellence French style. I am always happy to go there because I know that even if... More

A beautiful view of the harbor with the full moon rising above it. We were the first in the restaurant on this Friday night, five adults and a baby. We were very well attended to, by what at first seemed to be the only person in the place, but soon grew to a sizable team, over the course of our... More
