Perfectly executed dishes and lovely service.

Let's face it...the French mostly have disdain for tourists, especially in peak season. But this place was both lovely on service and food. We ordered Dover sole which was cooked to perfection. The bouillabaise was excellent. The Normandy cheeses were lovely. My only issue is that they served... read more

Our first night in the area as a party of four we decided on a minor celebration and after looking at the restaurants' offerings decided on this establishment. We all chose from the most expensive set menu, 90 Euros per person if my memory serves me correctly. An absolute disappointment, promised much and delivered little.

When you have tried all the trendy eateries around the picuresque harbout nip round the corner and have a meal to remember for many years. Superb seafood unsurprisingly and great classic French ambience and food. A wine list worth giving your credit card a pasting for.

At our first evening in the Normandy region, this restaurant was an excellent choice to taste the local cuisine. We preferred oysters, sole meunière, king prawns and all were delicious. The service & the decoration were very good. I highly recommend this 1* Michelin Restaurant

We ate here based on other reviews from Trip Advisor, and that it appeared to be busy on other evenings we walked through the area looking for a restaurant. In retrospect, I wish we’d picked somewhere else. The food was OK – not great, but pretty good. My main complaint is the manner of service and the general ambiance or... More

In a town of many restaurants, this is one of the best. The service is excellent and the food very good. There is a nice ambiance in the restaurant. Some may say it is expensive, but like for like in the UK would be far more expensive.

This is a very friendly and accommodating restaurant right on the harbor. The menu is creative and well executed. It has a fine wine list the fits the cuisine. The staff is attentive without hovering. Good cheese selection. Some of the dishes overreached, but the overall impact was superb. We would certainly go again.

Great French food and wine served by knowledgeable waiters. It's not cheap, but it is high quality and most enjoyable.

My wife and are foodies. There it is, I have said it and that means that one of our great pleasures in life when travelling is navigating ourselves from restaurant to restaurant. We even met in a restaurant and I used to run a Michelin rated establishment, enough said. We selected L'Absinthe as it looked beautiful, was in a fabulous... More

Fine dining , had the 33 euro menu excellent. Delicious scallop carpaccio. Lovely suckling pig. Superb soufflé and Normandy trilogy. Did n't feel bloated or over full. Waiting staff had senses of humour, all in all a lovely experience and not overpriced for what we had. Recommended!
