A fantastic lunch

Visited here for Sunday lunch last week with my husband. The waitress was completely fine about my request for lacto-free food and presented each dish with an explanation that it contained no cream or milk etc. The poached oysters, were delicious - fresh and intensely flavoured. The service at this restaurant was good but the whole experience felt like everyone was trying to hard to make this a high end restaurant which it is not. Food was fussy and average will little taste but lots of show. If you like to be fussed go here however if you just want good French food avoid.

Very good quality food, nicely arranged on the plate, explained in detail by friendly staff at - for this type of dishes - reasonable prices. They have some outdoor tables in the back yard which they can close when rain sets in. One of our best dining experiences on this trip to Normandie.

Last meal of a week long trip and it was the best. Cool and attractive rooms, very attentive service, lovely amuse bouches. Had the 31e menu. The tomato starter looks and tastes wonderful and the poached oysters were delicious. Both had the stuffed guinea fowl which was very good. Shared a tasty selection of local cheeses then both had the... More

This is an absolutely amazing restaurant. A two minute walk from the busy port of Honfleur, this is an oasis. We had the 31€ three course menu. We were served little amuse-bouches between every dish, so in total we had six or seven servings. The sashimi and beetroot starter was absolutely amazing, tasty and different. Poached oysters, the other starter,... More

We booked this place well before we arrived in Honfleur. It was clearly going to be a very good restaurant. We weren't disappointed. It was a weekday night and the place wasn't completely full but pretty close. This is clearly a place that worships at the altar of food but it doesn't force itself upon you. You can experience it... Wanted our 16 yr old granddaughter to experience a beautiful French dinner - one up to date in fresh ingredients beautifully presented. It was perfect -- pacing, presentation, friendly attentive staff without "attitude", just a beautiful, accessible evening. Wine list was excellent and a great range of regions and pricing. Of course the setting in Honfleur adds to the special... More

We have eaten in a lot of good restaurants on this 7-week trip, and Le Bréard was definitely among the very best. Nicely located right in the town center, the dining rooms are tastefully decorated and the service was very subdued, polite and polished. We selected their 3-course Menu Gourmet for a reasonable EU32. The dinner started out with 2... More

If you are in Honfleur, you must choose Le Breard as a dinner destination. The food was absolutely incredible. My husband and I spent most of our vacation in Paris and the food at Le Breard was far superior to anything we had in Paris' fine dining restaurants. Le Breard is extremely creative and you cannot order a bad meal.... More

We had dinner with friends, and we all agreed this was an exceptional restaurant. We ordered from all three of the prix fixe menus, and we were impressed. From the multiple teasers at the start, everything was quite interesting. The portions were generous, which was unexpected. We have eaten many fancy meals at high priced restaurants on this vacation, but... More
