Pretty but pricey

We had lunch here before entering Monet's House & Garden. The somewhat self-serve, somewhat cafeteria arrangement could have been arranged better, especially because some of the items highlighted on the chalk boards at the entrance were gone... We had lunch here before entering Monet's House & Garden. The somewhat self-serve, somewhat cafeteria arrangement could have been arranged better, especially because some of the items highlighted on the chalk boards at the entrance were gone... If you were anticipating one of those items and you'd already passed over some of the earlier offerings in the line, you're hard-pressed... More

Probably the prettiest "fast-food" place on Earth, this restaurant- plant nursery - gift-store located right next door to the Monet gardens offers salads, soups, sandwiches , drinks and ice-creams for take out in a lovely location , with tables surrounded by gardens. Vegan-friendly gaspacho and salads made us VERY happy customers.

Nice self service cafe overlooking the grounds. Good gift shop and harder shop. Only issue the loud American tourist yahooing to each other.

Overpriced, poor quality food and beverages (coffee is very bad). Best avoided. Take your lunch with you for your visit to Giverny!

We invariably go to Giverny on our annual stay in Paris. We usually go to see the exhibition at the American Museum of Art/ Museum of Impressionisms there. On this visit we were drawn by the Degas - An Impressionist Painter? We had always thought of him as such. Not so sure now. A wonderful collection. We hope that it... More

I had late lunch here, place is self service and was quite packed with people. It is located just beside the tourist information office. The price of the food was reasonable and is definitely a good place to stop for a short break or for lunch.

no problems with food or plants here, but unhappy experience in otherwise wonderful visit to giverny. l left a new soft blue cardi here at closing time, a present from my daughter and special to me. First thing next morning l went back to ask for it, the waitress said she had found it and put it away and would... More

Ended up at this eating area as the other restaurants were full with queues outside. This also had a queue, and took 30 mins just to get a quiche, open hot sandwich, 2x bags of crisps, 2x cookies and 2x drinks all for the sum of 40 Euros....yes, 40 Euros! What a rip off, however, they have you over a... More

This is a unique experience where your eyes will lead you out in the garden, carefully cared for and where amazing plants have been selected. You can eat in or out; the selection of fresh sandwiches and homemade soups are made daily and served by a friendly staff. They also have monthly entertainment with wonderful musician groups. If you wander... More

We were looking for a quick and inexpensive dining option after visiting Claude Monet's home and gardens and found it here. We dined on soup and sandwiches under a canopy protecting us from light rain showers while overlooking a pleasant outdoor garden area. The line was short and the wait shorter than expected. La Capucine is located conveniently between the... More
