My title will seem like hyperbole unless you, too, have been to Monet's home and gardens in Giverny. Never before have I seen such a beautiful setting, made even more special by the perfect weather. Following a leisurely stroll through the gardens, our tour group ate a lovely lunch at the Hotel Baudy. We enjoyed a chicken dish with a... More

Wow! As an artist, of course you want to visit the place where the American Impressionists lived and kept a studio. We four artists decided to have our first meal of our four day visit to Giverny at The Baudy. We sat outside and had a late lunch in the arbor cafe outside. Each of us ordered a salad, and... More

This is a little gem! The food was delicious and plentiful. Vast options and as everyone in our party had something different we can honestly say this restaurant caters for all and is lovely! A must try!

You can read the history of the restaurant on the menu - a story of a shop that became the home for American artists, visiting at the time of Monet. A studio was built for them a the back and you can have a look in there as well. And best of all, the food is tasty, reasonably priced, and... More

Great place to stop for a drink after visiting Monet's Gardens. Plus, the barkeeps place good music and can make a mean cocktail, as well as espresso.

We had a quiet dinner inside at Baudy. Staff was helpful. Our meals were well-prepared and very tasty. It was an enjoyable evening and a filling meal. This is a good place for dinner.

This old hotel that was in existence during Monet's time, was a delightful experience. The servers were friendly and spoke some English. I couldn't stop looking around at the décor. We were there in October so we ate inside. The grounds in the back were a surprise. I could just imagine a painter from back in the day, painting in... More

Went here based on a recommendation of our guide book and enjoyed our lunch throughly. Highly recommend eating outside under the trees and touring the gardens afterwards.

This restaurant is only a few blocks from our B&B (Moulin des Chennevieres). We sat outside which was a comfortable garden setting. The service was good and the food was very good. The fact that the servers spoke English was a plus.

Unfortunately of all the places I ate in France this was my least favourite. Although I loved the surroundings, art studio and gardens and I am sure in spring it must be a delight if I was reviewing on this alone I would have given a much better rating. However the food was average. I ate there twice and as... More
