Lovely, despite being a tourist restaurnt!

It was a welcome relief to find a shady and appealing place to have lunch on a hot day in June. The lunch was delicious and the service was adequate considering that we were there on a Saturday during the busy summer season. They do not take bookings, so there may be a wait for a table.

We had a Camembert crepe and Chevre salad, then a lamb dish and King prawns (served whole, so had to work to eat them!). For dessert, we had a coupe Normande (apple ice cream with Calvados). Everything was very good. Service was too.

Both enjoyed a long lunch outside after the gardens. Had the 3 course prix fixe & thought it was good value & quality for the tourist area. Waiters were attentive & efficient. Wine was good too! Would recommend & definitely go back.

Only reason you'd eat here is to visit Monet's gardens and then partake during a break from your visit. It's pleasant outside, the servers are overworked. Food is OK but not what you'd expect in a nice little village in France… tourist quality. Prices weren't bad.

The setting is lovely, the gardens at the back are beautiful - one can almost feel the presence of the artists. However, it's too busy and the staff and kitchens struggle to cope. Our starters were pleasant enough although nothing special but the main meals arrived cold. The lamb skewer was inedible both before and after reheating. This was acknowledged... More

This old landmark hotel/restaurant came highly recommended by our hotel host. To eat outside on the patio you must wait in a line until a waitperson decides to clear a table and seat you. The service was extremely slow, though the staff was very personable. My husband's "sunshine salad" was raw meat and large slices of Parmesan cheese on top... More

In the summer, dining under the tree canopy and umbrellas, this is the place to relax after the crowds at Monet's house. With a terrific garden of it's own behind the main building, the restaurant serves classic country fare at a very fair price. The wine list, while simple, is attractively priced. Service is attentive, very pleasant, if stretched a... More

This is where Claude Monet ate many times during his lifetime. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Their garden is gorgeous as well (their garden is in the back of their restaurant). The service is friendly and the food was phenomenal. For those that are inspired by Claude Monet, you must eat here. You will not regret it.

We went to this restaurant with a most interesting history after visiting the magnificient Monet's Gardens. It is situated Rue Monet, after the car parks which is most convenient. The dining room is atmospheric and the garden at the back most romantic with all its old roses. The waiters are both most professional and friendly. The food we ordered was... More
