We dined here about six years ago and returned again recently. The location is lovely if you like being by boats and the Port. The staff are friendly and the Owner is humerous and great fun. We were in Deauville for three nights and dined here foe two of them. I can recommend the Sole and would return again and... More

The staff in this restaraurant is unfriendly and arrogant. We were just passing by and asked the women at the bar if we could use the toilet inside the restaurant. And she did not allow us to get inside!! (amazing - this is the first time in France I was not allowed to get inside) I often visit good restaraunts... More

A friend and I worked at Le Comptoir et la Table when it was Hotel Deauville the summer of 1970. It was quite the experience, great food, great employees and a beautiful spot. Unfortunately, we worked long hours and were tired! What an experience for two 18 year olds!

When you walk into this restaurant the first thing you notice are the aromas from the kitchen. It's wonderful. The staff was welcoming and extremely pleasant. Dinner was excellent -- I had duck. Everyone at the table had a terrific dinner and felt we had a great experience. The restaurant is a few blocks from the Royal Barierre Normandy hotel... More

Recommended by the taxi driver to be the best restaurant, without being "trop cher". The lack of a menu outside rang alarm bells, but not as many as the lack of one within. The restaurant itself was in need of maintenance, and when it came time to order food, the 'menu' was in the form of chalk boards balanced on... More

We loved our meal here. The setting is pretty near the water and there was a bicycle race going by which added entertainment. The food was delicious and interesting. For example, my caprese salad came with tomatoes, creamy mozzarella and basil sorbet. The service was excellent and we would have returned the next night, but they were closed. A charming... More

Another lovely meal at this atmospheric restaurant. Michel and his wife are always most welcoming, but remember to brush up on your French before you go.My husband & I had a starter from the set lunch menu of smoked salmon, salmon mousse and avocado mousse, delicious, I then had the veal chop (huge) with a mushroom sauce and tagliatelle from... We were lucky enough to find this place for lunch after passing by the bustling "downtown" Deauville lunch scene. This restaurant is very relaxing (at lunch anyway) and has excellent seafood. It is the kind of place where the menu is written on a chalkboard each day to reflect what is fresh that day.

We have traveled to Deauville for several years now. On our first trip about 4 years ago, we discovered Le Comptoir et la Table on our own. We didn't have a reservation and got extremely lucky and got a table for 2. It filled up quickly with the most interesting crowd from the Thoroughbred racing world. It ended up being... More
