Pleasant friendly restaurant serving above average food in small portions

ArchiDona is situated next to the Hotel de Quatrans and may be jointly owned - didn't check - but better quality (not that hotel is poor). These were perfect, as were accompanying vegetables. Portions are... More

We had a dining room for 40 and everything was just as we hoped: excellent value, food simple and unpretentious but good, plenty of decent house wine and friendly and efficient service. The staff did everything asked of them and all special needs were catered for well . Absolutely no complaints at all. All our party had a great evening... More

Service excellent, quick considering we were a large group. Food excellent, well presented and hot. 8 euro house wine by the bottle was palatable. The menu offered fir the group was a selection of 2 starters, 2 main menus and 2 desserts. 3 courses 28 euros. Food tasty, would definitely go again.

Decided to try this Michelin recommended restaurant as it's quite near our hotel. Got there about 7:30pm and the place was deserted but it was full by the time we finished. The initial greeting was a bit cool and impersonal, but they improved slightly as the night progressed. We opted for the 28€ 3-course set menu, which offered some interesting... More

...Especially on TA, weirdly. Locals know why they usually choose another restaurant ! It was rather cold and unpersonnal at first, and things didn't go better as the meals went on. The pro : the dishes looks nice. The cons : unfortunately they don't taste as nice as you could have thought. At almost 50€ per menu, meats were either... More

A large, but well laid out retaurant with subdued lighting. Service was efficient but somewhat impersonal. Our overall impression was of good quality ingredients used in dishes lacking a bit in their advertised flavours. Also our dessert - gratin of fresh fruits with toasted brioche - which was the chef's special for the day, was cold and had a very... More

ArchiDona forms part of the building housing Hotel des Quatrans - close to the City centre and very convenient for the hotel residents for whom there's a reduction! I suppose you'd call it nouvelle cuisine with smallish portions but this is not an issue for me. The food is very well and 'artistically' presented. Do not be fooled by appearances.... More
