A wonderful lunch. Perfect service. Classic French restaurant. What can you say? The French know how to dine, and the Carlotta proves it. At the end of the meal, order the Café Gourmand.

Very busy restaurant but the service was very quick. Food quality was superb. One of the best meals we've had in France. Quite a surprise. I had fish soup for lunch. Very good preparation. We also should escargot and oysters. I would heartily recommend this place. Best of all, their quick.

Typical French menu. Service was a little slow but they were very busy. We had to send a very tough steak back, but they had no hesitation in changing it. Worth a visit.

We were pleased with our dinner, great lobster ravioli. Complementary cheese and olives never hurts. When it came pay to pay, all of the servers disappears for 15 minutes. Must have been break time or another French strike

This restaurant is on the marina and the proximity of the sea is reflected in its menu although it does serve meat dishes too. This is one of those great French restaurants which are unassuming and which give you excellent food, reasonably priced , all in a nice atmosphere. There were tourists and plenty of local people - always a... More

Excellent food, really well prepared and beautifully presented. Two niggles: the English language menu only comes in set-menu format, no a la carte offerings, and the service on the night we went was very slow. We weren't sure if it was just us as the tables either side of us both arrived and ordered after us yet somehow finished up... More

Booked a long time ago for dinner on Bastile Day not knowing at the time whether Le Carlotta would be open or not. They were and we were delighted to be back here again and welcomed by the staff and escorted to our favourite table. The restaurant is a classic French Brasserie decorated with items you wouldn't dream of having... More

A return visit (after five years!) finds this establishment still at the top of its game. Specialties such as freshest fish (rare to find and enjoy Dover sole!), and their famous 7 hour slow-roasted veal couldn't be better! Unobtrusive and helpful service make this a lovely place for a meal, day or night. Situated on the pretty Quai Vendeuvre. Well... More
