Another find on the main square. Not cheap but the view towards the castle is good and very handy for the tram, it is outside the door.

Having lived in Caen 8months I had heard lots about this restaurant. the food is reasonably priced, and service great. I was a little disappointed with my meal and thought it a little overpriced for the quality. but enjoyed wine and dessert immensely

Having read the reviews I agree with most readers - very friendly staff but 15 euros for a burger and chips and 7 euro for a pudding / I would say look around Caen as there are lots of restaurants that offer better value - friend of mine had a steak and actually most UK supermarkets offer better meat /

The service here was fine, attentive and friendly. The wine was ok, but nothing special. The Meat however was not good at all, I had a fillet of beef which was tough and had a very large artery running through it, my friend had a mixed grill that was only 3 items instead of 5 (listed on the menu) and... I was part of a group of 5 and we all were greeted and seated with no dramas, then the waiter gave us tasters of the different wines until we had all decided and ordered. I was embarrassed to ask for an English menu but the waiter kindly handed one over and helped talk through the food as I am... More

The food is excellent (meat eaters will be happy) and those who don't eat meat will like their fish (I know I do). The French fries are real and the risotto makes you salivate. Very friendly atmosphere, nice roomy tables with a great view, good cutlery with cloth napkins, funny decorative cows by the windows (you gotta see them). Whatever... More

Thank you for a lovely meal. Food was fantastic. Really good service. We had french onion soup and carpaccio to start. Fillet steak for main and selection of desserts. Highly recommend.

I started with an green pea soup that was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly but a little chewy at times. I finished with a fine CREME brûlée. Limited wine list but the service was friendly and prompt. Worth a visit!

Highly recommended. Close to the pedestrian town center, this restaurant is on the first floor. They have a very reasonably priced lunch menu and their steaks were very tender and tasty : 10 out of 10. We also tried their pork with bacon and pepper. Wine was good and reasonably priced. Only the dessert was a slight let down, both... More
