We loved this place so much we ate there twice! Sat outside and enjoyed the food and the sites. The hamburgers were awesome and even tried a dish that was regional to the Normandy area. We recommended it to people we met on a tour it was so enjoyable.

Arrived in town 9pm on jan 1st and this was one of the only places open. Had very little expectations, but ordered the fois grois as an appetizer and the country Burger. The appetizer was good. We waited something like 20 minutes for the burger, but it was absolute fantastic. They use potatoes instead of bread, patty was just perfect... More

Relaxing atmosphere - dined inside and outside. Great/friendly service - Manager made us feel welcomed and relaxed! Great menu; we loved the beer, pizzas and salads. Looking forward to coming back; we'll bring our friends!

We had a great pizza and nice wine at this friendly little resturant after a long day touring the D-Day sights with Victory Tours. It was a very welcome stop before our train ride back to Paris. Highly recommend.

We sat outside this very pleasant eatery amongst locals and tourists alike. Coffee was excellent served with nougat. Delish. We just need to refresh before more sightseeing and it was perfect. Pleasant staff and not at all overpriced in what is after all a tourist town.

Le Garde Manger is the restaurant of the Reine Mathilde hotel where we were staying. The restaurant provides very good food and excellent value for money. Despite the fact that it was October, the weather was unseasonably warm enough for us to eat lunch on the terrace. I'll do a separate review on the hotel itself.

We had dinner there, and it was pretty good. They were very accommodating with our toddler, even providing a nice booster seat that secured to the chair and the servers were engaging as well. The rest of the group enjoyed their burgers, which were better than most I've had outside the states, while I personally had the special (scallops) which... More

When arriving in Bayeux it was late afternoon and found that all of the restaurants did not open til at least 7pm. We were starved and upon asking at the City Information building, they recommended Le Garde Manger as it is open all day. We were in Bayeux for 4 days and wound up having every evening meal there. The... More

Ate there for breakkie and dinner once. Breakfast was 9.50 Euro per person and was a full continental spread. Dinner was chosen as all the other rated restaurants online was booked or full the day we arrived from Paris. Had very good Plat du Jour (Plate of the day) which was scallops. Best I've eaten anywhere in the world (includes... More
