Enjoyable Meal

We were able to walk from our hotel in the old town.. It is connected with the hotel of the same name. The french onion soup was excellent but had a little to much bread. Both dinners and a dessert crepe were good. The ambiance was relaxing and the waiter EXCELLENT. Would recommend. Hope this... read more

We came here a couple of times for an evening meal in 2013 and we liked it most of the several Bayeux restaurants we tried then. Here again in 2015, and again pleased with the choice of food, the ambience, the food itself, the presentation and all at reasonable prices. Busy, but that adds to the atmosphere, and the service... I liked mostly that this restaurant is open for dinner earlier than the others around, which seemed to be at 1900. The location is close to a nice walk at Place de Quebec.

After a day touring the D Day beaches, this bistrot offered a seat in the early evening sun for a drink and something to eat. Excellent cider! Mrs had an omelette and rated it as good. I had a galette which was tasty and very filling. Mrs followed up with the Crepe Speciale which was, by all accounts, excellent. Nice... More

From the Chablis, to the cheese plate, to the different lunch items, this was just right. Good service and overall food quality was high. Good find..

9 of us had dinner in this restaurant on arrival at the Reine Mathilde hotel (see my review of the hotel). We were well looked after, and the food was very good indeed. Recommended.

We stopped here after a tour of Normandy WWII sites hoping for a delicious light meal. The outside terrace was pleasant and quite enjoyable, but the food was less than mediocre. I had a salmon and shrimp pasta that was almost inedible. My husband's chicken with a Normandy cream sauce was marginally better but the accompanying frites were flabby and... More

We had drinks here one evening - outside seating nicely shrouded by planting and quite a sun trap. Went back for lunch - some good some bad. My salad was ok - I'd had a better one elsewhere the day before, but the omelette's and burgers were said to be very satisfactory. The service was all a bit chaotic though... More

If you’ve been out in the Normandy countryside all day touring the D-Day sites or just exploring, and you get back to Bayeux in the evening, and it's dark, and all you want is a decent pizza in Bayeux for a reasonable price, this cheery restaurant fits the bill. We ate here twice … meaning we were happy to return... More

It was during our five day stay at the adjacent Rheine Matilde Hotel that we had the opportunity to try this restaurant. We liked it. The food is of good quality, the menu is quite varied, and it has a unique advantage; it is continuously open throughout the day. This last fact is something of a benefit to visitors used... More
