On our Recent trip to Bayeux, experienced a great meal and went back again bringing our friends. Alex and her chef husband do a fantastic job of making you feel welcome and feeding you very well! It was our top choice for quality of food and among the top choices for total dining experience while in Bayeux. Nice variety of... More

The concierge at the Churchill hotel recommended this restaurant. A lot of restaurants are closed on Monday night and he called and got us a reservation. I'm so glad we got to have a meal here. I believe it's a husband and wife that run it. I'm assuming. He is the chef and she waits tables very efficiently and with... More

What a team. Chef and waiter were the only two staff. We had a great wine Umbi colomby. I think it was called. Waiter was smiling happy chatty and funny. He even, without asking brought water for our dog lulu. Service was quick and food was excellent. It was packed but waiter didn't appear to be under pressure at all.... More

We tried to get a reservation at L'Achimie the previous night but the restaurant was booked. Now I can see why. We were greeted by the chef's wife who efficiently waited on all the customers. From starter to dessert the food was wonderful. I chose the tempura shrimp for a starter, the veal for a main and sabayon for dessert.... More

Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we dined here while biking in France. We had an incredible meal. I unfortunately had the sole which was not de-boned. I found it hard to manage, but that was my fault -- not the restaurant's. The starters was terrific and the dessert was out of this world. I had a taste of several of... More

This was by far one of the best meals we have eaten in a long time. A small restaurant with only two staff working (waiter and chef) yet far better than many high end restaurants I have been to in other cities. The service was excellent - friendly, quick and attentive, and the food was wonderful. Unusual flavours and presented... More

While on holiday in Normandy, we had a fantastic lunch at L'Alchimie during our day in Bayeux. All the positive reviews we read ahead of time were borne out by our experience. It is a lovely restaurant and was very welcoming of our family, composed of my husband and myself, his parents, and our two girls (ages 3 years and... More

We dined out every night during our week in Bayeux and for us this was the standout restaurant. The food was very good ,with some interesting twists (really recommend the tempura prawns ) and was beautifully presented Service was excellent. Decor was stylish .Price was similar to other fine dining restaurants The restaurant opens at 6:30 pm which is good... More

Our first night there, reservations were full, so we made a reservation for the following night. We ordered the 24 and 32 euro menu, with the main being pork and veal, so we can try a variety. Both were good. The dishes were presented with "decorations". Although presentation is important, the taste is what matters I think. We liked the... More

The food was very good. I had the pork and my husband veal. There was only one server and he did an amazing job, but the restaurant needed another server. We ate at another fine dining restaurant that we liked more, but this one came in a very close second.
