It was a dark and stormy night. Well, there was light rain and it was chilly. It was in March 2014. We were traveling with our teen/preteen kids and we stopped in for dinner. The restaurant was warm and the food was delicious. The owner was welcoming and attentive. Our kids loved the attention and our daughter tried out her... More

The food was very good and the owner went out of his way to book a table in advance for our party of 8. He stocks a lot of interesting and tasty wines. Very friendly pleasant place.

My wife and I found Le Volet qui penche on a recent stay in Bayeux, it turned out to be the perfect spot for lunch and wine. the friendly staff helped with selections and wine, lunch menu was written on a chalk board and consisted of a couple of dishes, it could be considered limited but what a selection! this... Made this booking following recommendations from trip advisor. Was not disappointed. It's an eclectic little place, run by a guy who is frantically busy throughout the service, very courteous and keen to please We were offered a pear sparking wine on arrival which was very quaffable! The menu is a fairly fixed three course formule. Our dinner was excellent. Simple... More

I was lucky enough to go back to a restaurant that I had visited in 2013 and enjoyed with my husband. A year later, my mother, sister and I took a trip to Bayeux and I made a point of securing a reservation at Le Volet qui Penche for a second visit. We were not disappointed.

The staff are very passionate and knowledgeable about the extensive array of French wines that they stock. We spent an evening here and while we didn't have a full dinner, we did have a delicious meet and cheese platter. We were very impressed with the wines that were recommended to us and would have loved to have had time to... More

We chose this restaurant based on the reviews on trip advisor. It was a little difficult to find but getting lost was worth the wait. We were greeted by a very friendly gentlemen at the front door who quickly informed us that he could easily accommodate our party of four. We asked for suggestions and we agreed to try the... More

We had the best meal here on our 2week vacation in France. The service was great, the owner was lots of fun. The wine and food were awesome. Will definitely be back on our next trip
