Fine food and wine

We very much enjoyed this restaurant. The host was accommodating to our needs and offered a very creative menu. The food was delicious. Wish we could have returned for a second time.

177 steps from our hotel. Warm, friendly staff and atmosphere on a cold (for April), damp and windy evening. It is also a wine shop so the selection is amazing. Prices are reasonable, as well. Gratis glass of pear cider when we sat down. We knew we were going to like this place! Dinner selection not large so we both... More

We had a lovely meal here which was just right. The charcuterie board for two was excellent and the vin du jour complemented it very well. The staff were helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Very cordial staff, lovely meal, well priced, nice portions. Quiet area, warm and hospitable. Waitstaff will help you with wine selection if necessary. Options while not extensive were more than ample.

Trust the experience of a Master. Please go with the Meal du Jour and the suggested wine. There is a choice but we found the 3-course Meal of the Day wonderful and so different on each occasion that my description would not do it justice. This is a truly a restaurant with a difference. A difference in a very good... More

our Victory Tour guide Roel led us to this Gem after our victory tour. We shared glasses of wine and had a few small plates. We brought home a 2001 bottle of Cavados. Merci Pierre-Henri

Three of us visited this great restaurant on the Saturday night while staying in Bayeux. We booked in advance and were met with a warm greeting and sat quickly. A really nice touch was a glass of cider served whilst you decided what to eat. The plat du jour is fantastic value and a well thought out selection. We also... More

I've been staying with a friend in Normandy for a week and we stumbled on this place after visiting the Bayeux Tapestry. The food was sublime, the service was wonderful and the price was very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend this little gem to anyone staying or passing through Bayeux. Make sure you leave room for the Café Gourmand!

Wandering around Bayeux came across this little gem of a restaurant the 18 euro set menu was great for people like us that don't know much about what to order in a French restaurant . The menu was explained to us and the waiter recommended the wine which was fantastic. The 3 course meal of fish starter, sausage casserole and... More

My sister and I wandered into this restaurant after a recommendation from our hotel. The staff was incredibly welcoming and even accommodated my gluten allergy despite the limited menu. We both had the 18-euro three course meal -- a fantastic value for absolutely delicious food, and delighted in the recommended wine. The restaurant setting is charming and cozy -- a... More
