I've been staying with a friend in Normandy for a week and we stumbled on this place after visiting the Bayeux Tapestry. The food was sublime, the service was wonderful and the price was very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend this little gem to anyone staying or passing through Bayeux. Make sure you leave room for the Café Gourmand!

Wandering around Bayeux came across this little gem of a restaurant the 18 euro set menu was great for people like us that don't know much about what to order in a French restaurant . The menu was explained to us and the waiter recommended the wine which was fantastic. The 3 course meal of fish starter, sausage casserole and... More

My sister and I wandered into this restaurant after a recommendation from our hotel. The staff was incredibly welcoming and even accommodated my gluten allergy despite the limited menu. We both had the 18-euro three course meal -- a fantastic value for absolutely delicious food, and delighted in the recommended wine. The restaurant setting is charming and cozy -- a... More

I had the day's suggested 18 euro evening menu, super value good three course meal. Each course not something I would easily find in a UK reasonably priced restaurant. Not a vast choice of alternative dishes. Would go there again. Friendly english and german speaking. Warm wood fired stove on a cold evening.

My sister and I happened upon this lovely little restaurant one evening, and it was the perfect meal! It is a cozy little place right on the canal in Bayeux, where the menu changes daily based on what the chef finds at the local markets that morning. The owner was warm and welcoming, every bite of the food was delicious,... More

You could taste the "taste" in everything. Nothing was done with a heavy hand. The French Onion Soup was not overwhelming (as it often is in USA), the coquette was flavorful, the potatoes and apples were not hard or overcooked. We asked for apple cake (of course) as substitute for tiramisu. The dinner was 18E each, the excellent wine chosen... More

It was a dark and stormy night. Well, there was light rain and it was chilly. It was in March 2014. We were traveling with our teen/preteen kids and we stopped in for dinner. The restaurant was warm and the food was delicious. The owner was welcoming and attentive. Our kids loved the attention and our daughter tried out her... More

The food was very good and the owner went out of his way to book a table in advance for our party of 8. He stocks a lot of interesting and tasty wines. Very friendly pleasant place.
