Good food

We had a lovely dinner here. They gave us pear cider, olives and cheese to start before ordering. The waiter brought the menu over on a chalk board and the stood over us whilst we decided what to order, which we found a bit odd. There wasn't a great deal of choice but we went for the menu of the... read more

We've been very fortunate to have had one meal better than the last during this trip with my family in Switzerland and France - last night's meal did not disappoint! The owner of the restaurant could not have been more friendly or accommodating. (He even recognized us as we passed by the restaurant walking around the city today). The food... More

Excellent choice of local dishes, and plates of cheeses and meats. Good wines, all available by the glass. Cosy, and good service. Good value.

Had dinner here and the food and ambiance were very nice. The person serving us was very nice and polite and they have also a very good selection of wines. Highly recommended.

Cute little wine bar/restaurant. Small, quaint, ideal for lunch or casual dinner (actually you could make it a very nice dinner). Great wine options of all sorts. Food and service were excellent. English spoken, not ideally, but well enough (we are on their turf after all...).

Fantastic host (who clearly knows his wine!), food is excellent! Always a delicious 'dish of the day'. Would definitely recommend. And get him to suggest the wine to accompany your meal.... Perfect!

We had the shared chacuterie with the hot camembert which was tasty, the confite de poire was excellent- I'll be making that. We had the 5 puddings to finish which were all lovely. We were going to have the menu de soire at 18 euros but went off the main menu for a change which was more expensive so just... More

The waiter explained the menu as we don't speak French. That was a great start and the dishes he recommended were outstanding. Nice wine and great view of the canal/creek.

We went here on a Saturday evening and booked in advance - lucky we did as place is very small! The owner was so friendly - he explained the menu to us and brought us wonderful wine based on what we told him we enjoyed. The food was delicious - the oysters in particular were great. I had the burger... More
