Feels like home, no better way to unwind after a day out touring the beaches

This place is a gem. The owner is so kind and charismatic, food is so good and fresh, and atmosphere is relaxed. We wish we were staying another day. We let the owner pick our wines and did the meat and cheese plate. Perfect end to our first day of vacation!

My husband loved the regional Normandy cheeses board. As a vegetarian, was not a lot of choice for me. I wanted the onion soup on the menu, but they didn't have any. I ordered the Vegetable salad which was good and had some interesting combinations of fruit and vegetables.

The atmosphere and decor are nice and the service good. The emphasis appears to be more on the wine than on the food, which was ok but disappointing.

One way to sell wine is to invite people in for dinner and serve it along with the meal. And while that's true for this wine shop/restaurant, it's so much more. Pierre-Henri took such good care of us both nights we ate there. AND the food was wonderful and reasonably priced.

We had dinner here on the recommendation of our hotel. It's a little difficult to find, but worth it. We had a very enjoyable dinner and our waiter was very helpful in making selections. their wine list is basically what's scattered all around the restaurant. He said look around and tell me what you want. I got so confused I... More

I had heard of this place on TA so when my husband and I strolled by , we stopped to make reservations for that evening. Upon returning with our party of 4, our table by the window wasn't ready so we were pleasantly seated outside with a complimentary pear drink ( "a surprise") and charcuterie. Quickly seated and enjoyed escargot... More

Mattias at Hotel Churchill recommended this lovely, unique, one of a kind restaurant to us. Pierre-Henri Lemessier, I do believe is the proprietor. His warm greeting gave us the 'oh yes, just the unique restaurant we were looking for' kind of feeling. We chose the impeccable 3 course dinner. The food was unparalleled to any other French meal we have... More

We came here for an early dinner without a booking with our twelve year old daughter and felt very welcomed and not rushed at all, although I'd recommend making a reservation as they were turning away several couples later on. Unless you are a wine connoiseur, the recommended wine by the glass that evening was superb and complimented the generous... More

We came here for dinner during a 2 night stay in the area because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. It's a very charming restaurant, on the water in the middle of town, and has a nice ambiance. The service was excellent and we were very pleased with our meal. There are lots of good choices in Bayeux, but this... More

It was not my kind of dinner. Salad was good, with salmon and fish. Turkey and vegetables looked and tasted like they had been heated for hours. It was not bad and it was reasonably priced but not great.
