A really lovely little spot with a wonderful atmosphere and good local food and a great selection of wine. The owner is charming and friendly and this is the perfect spot for a quiet lunch or dinner in a small group or as a couple without going over board. They have a simple concept were essentially there is one choice... More

We had a limited time for lunch, but did not have to compromise on quality. The plat du jour was delicious, incorporating local taste and market-fresh ingredients. It was topped off with a café gourmand selection of wonderful little desserts.

My husband, in-laws and I had a great experience here in early April. We did the fixed menu (we weren't too sure if that was the only option anyway) and it was very good. They brought out a salad with fish and the fish was fantastically fresh and tasty. The main course was good but the wine recommendation was what... More

We loved our experience here! I came in and met Pierre-Henri during the day. He explained that it's mainly a wine bar, and they only offer one main course per evening (but he would make a special kids dish for our son). He was so friendly and the place was so cute (right on the river), we came back for... More

We looked this place up, after reading the positive comments on trip advisor. The restaurant is located down a side street and is fairly small...our pathfinder colleague struggled to locate it as he had other places....Once we found it and entered, we were treated like good friends rather than just customers.. The walls are adorned with bottles of wine and... More

This is easily the best place to eat in town. The food is classic French country cooking, fresh and well prepared. But the real gem here is the welcome feeling and friendliness. We were in Bayeux for one night after a long and powerful tour of the D-Day beaches. This was the perfect spot to unwind, talk wine and have... More

Before going to Bayeux we researched some places to dine. Since they had good ratings we went there and were not disappointed. Located a few blocks from the Cathedral and overlooking the river. The restaurant is small but cozy. The walls are covered with wine bottles that represent the wine menu. The menu is set but they had really good... More

A short walk from our hotel in the very centre of town, tucked down a little alleyway. The set menu was €18 for three courses including service charge. We enjoyed Camembert toast served with a lovely salad, followed by sauteed ham in a creamy apple sauce (with lots of veg and rice), finished off with banana tart and chocolate mousse.... More

I had read the many positive reviews of this restaurant so had looked forward to visiting. As noted it's a simple menu with little choice. We all had steak for main course and they were all a little tough. Wine excellent but I don't think we would go back.

This is a must when visiting Bayeux. Pierre- Henri is so welcoming and speaks excellent English and will do anything to help. There is no menu here, just a daily special. However if there is something that you dont like, Pierre-Henri will try and give you something you do. Thats great service. The food here is amazing and the wine... More
