I was looking for something "typical" and this place hits the mark with wonderful fare that evokes the incredible countryside of lower Normandy. They offer several menus but I took the one for about 22 euros that included a gorgeous starter of a lemony tartine of salmon, then roasted pork with potatoes and finally a dessert of mixed regional cheeses...wow!... Upon arriving in town without reservations, we began to explore our options. One restaurant that was previously recommended was completely booked.... I happened upon L'Accroche and was so plesantly suprised. The food was delightful. very well prepared. yes, it is a little "tight" but most restaurants in France do not have vast spaces. The staff was so very attentive. Gave... More

Superb little restaurant, after looking at the options to eat on Rue des Cuisiniers our friends, the wife and I chose l'Accroche. On entering the restaurant you are bathed in the warmth and smell from the kitchen. If you are looking for a large spacious place to eat then this is not the place, The fact that it is small... More

My husband and I had lunch there last week and we were disappointed in the food. Pork plat du jour was tough. Beef stew was just OK. Very small and hot inside.. Try another place!

The service is good, the food is ok and they have menu's to cater for all budgets but....the place is way too small - sardines in a can. It ruined the meal. We couldn't wait to leave. Customers struggle to get to seats. Waitresses struggle to get around. We had to move our table to help arriving customers get to... More

Loved everything about it! We enjoyed dishes which will never be forgotten. Very attentive staff. Booking important and already booked on 6 June! Pity it is not closer!

My sister and I are traveling around Normandy and Paris and we just had the best meal of our trip. L'Arroche is a beautiful and intimate, yet family friendly restaurant, with great wine and the freshest, tastiest meal to date. This restaurant is much better than the trip advisor ranking. Try it...you will enjoy it.

Looking for a lunch spot, we happened upon L'Accroche. Small with seating for only 24, the restaurant is a jewel. We chose the starter, main and dessert for 22 Euros. Our starters consisted of a scallop and salmon tartar and an onion tart with Calvados. Both excellently prepared. The tartar was served with white toast. Fresh and intertwined the scallop... More

We dined here with an adult son, but a nearby table had a youngster. The little girl was very well behaved and she clearly enjoyed the experience (she was French, so she was able to engage with the staff). We ordered the menu (e22 and e29), and selected a variety of options - all were good. A public parking lot... More

We went here for my partner's birthday. We had been confused by TA reviews about restaurants in Bayeux and decided we'd check them out in person and then book. I'm so glad we did - and so is she. Some highly ranked restaurants didn't feel welcoming, the menu for others boring (I love pizza as much as the next person,... More
