Our spot for a "night cap". Cute place away from the crowds. Sat out side to have a night cap after a day of touring. Beer is cold...my wife loved their Syrah. The real plus was our friendly waitress Valarie. Smiles..very sweet & attentive. Curious about the US, especially our home San Diego. Stop in for a drink & ask... More

My son and I went here for a lateish dinner. The waiter had a lot of personality. Unlike some others, he let us modify an order (cheddar on a burger) and the food was great. The table next to us asked to order dessert and he refused--was totally kidding. He bantered with them a bit more, and brought our check--tucked... More

We ate here one night on a long week end because it was Sunday and not a lot of restaurants were open. The steak was ok although they seem to think a thick slice of beef constitutes a steak, pudding was nice

My wife and I arrived in Bayeux after 8:30 in the evening, and after walking around for a while looking for a good place to eat near our hotel, we finally settled for La Boucherie. I doubt that this place has ever been anyone's first choice for dinner, it certainly wasn't ours. But it was still open and it was... More

I don't really like to "ding" a restaurant. But I was more than a little miffed when we left the restaurant. This restaurant is not really in the tourist area but was recommended by our hotel. The restaurant remained less than 1/3 full while we were there. My main "beef" (pardon the pun) was that the waiter was just plain... More

The service was offhand as reported by others, although sometimes humorous as well, in an ironic way, particularly with the kids. I could have been ok with that if the food was any good. Very basic and (too) quick, which meant the kids were happy at least. But although I like a standard burger and fries on occasion, I asked... More

Just got back from dinner here, service was so appalling I had to write this review. Staff were incredibly rude and patronising. Even getting a serviette was difficult without receiving a rude and unwelcome regard like you we're disturbing them.. To make it worse food was crap and overpriced for the rubbish it was. Also we were left waiting for... More

As you will have seen from my previous reviews, I try to be fair. After a lovely day in Bayeux we went to La Boucherie as it looked reasonably busy. The waitress was lovely and showed us to our table of eight. The salads were awful, covered in dressing and all the warm bits were cold. The chicken burger was... More

Great food, great service, great value for money and lots of room for a big group. Easy to find, clean and new looking decor, although as we're told it's been here for ages. Lots of diners.
