We, like many I would suspect, stumbled across this bar after visitng the Tapestrie museum. And I'm very glad we did. We were in Bayeaux for 3 days, and we went back every night. The owners Dara and Marc are very friendly, and it's a great place to meet locals, as well as other people on holiday/travelling. Whilst we never... More

My boyfriend and I found this restaurant while wandering around Bayeux and were lured in by its casual and inviting exterior. The inside has a very warm and relaxing atmosphere that made us feel very comfortable. Cards and games are also provided which I absolutely loved! I ordered the tomato soup and my boyfriend ordered the ham and cheese omelet... More

We found this bar by accident whilst visiting Bayeux on a social visit with colleagues and were very pleased we did. Dara and Marc were very good and friendly hosts and we found the drinks to be reasonably priced compared to other bars in Bayeux that we visited the previous evening. We were welcomed and encouraged to socialise with other... More

Well, where shall I start? Me and my husband only live 10mins from Bayeux so we decided one sunday lunch time to go for something to eat. We had previously been to 'Le Conquerant' (English speaking) before but just for something to drink after our visit to the 'Bayeux Tapestry'. We had briefly looked at the menu and said we... More

After being in Paris for 5 days we just loved the relaxed atmosphere of this cafe! The tomatoe soup was the best! The owners were so nice and sat and talked with us for a long time.

My sister, my niece and I stopped by Le Conquerant for an afternoon beer after visiting the Bayeux Tapestry. The owner, Marc, could not have been nicer! He noticed my lack of a jacket and insisted on moving us to a table in the afternoon sun. His outdoor chairs are, by the way, all furnished with comfy cushions. We chatted... More

I went to this pub primarily to use the internet. I was charmed by Dara the Irish woman who with her husband just took over the pub in April. She was extremely helpful- above and beyond the call of duty- and later I went back and enjoyed a snack and a drink.

We wondered in to this restaurant after seeing the Bayeux tapestry. The owners were very friendly and couldn't have been more welcoming. The homemade tomato soup was delicious!

I visited Bayeux with my sister and friend and came across Le Conquerant when leaving the Tapestry. This warm friendly cafe was just the ideal post tapestry respite, with Marc and Dara (the married owners) making us feel at home straight away. The beer was very reasonably priced as was the food - a menu made up of a variety... More
