Very good, reasonably price bar / eatery in Bayeux

I visited Le Conquerant one afternoon after an early dinner and was really surprised by the service, quality and price of this eatery. The restaurant had great service, a good selection of food that will make you feel at home and all at a reasonable price. While I was in Bayeux, I ate out many... read more

There were 12 of us workmates over on a visit to the d day landings & we used this bar every night for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was great & good value. The drinks were we thought a little pricey but the friendly staff drew us back here. When we return next year... More

Thankfully we found this place open because we needed a beer and an English-speaking pub. The staff was friendly and helpful, the beers varied. The menu is varied and basic but satisfying.

We wanted an after dinner drink and wandered on Le Conquerant on a Thursday night. It was about half full, the bar is a small place. The bartender was very friendly and pointed out the free wifi password to us. It felt cozy inside and we enjoyed our drink there. We thought about going back on Friday night for another... More

We were so lucky to wander in to this Pub. It is what it advertises, a pub, with great pub grub food. It was exactly what we were looking for after having spent our days driving to the sights and having lunch at the local cafes. We ate dinner here three nights in a row. Great food, great beer, great... More

6 of us, (ex military) were on a trip to visit various D Day sites and came across this hostelry. The staff and the welcome, not to mention the beer and food, were so good we made it our unofficial HQ for the duration of our visit. Marc and Dara are excellent hosts and have wonderful friendly staff. The food... More

They have a good selection of drinks (including Guiness) although I must say Bayeux's forte is not beers but cider. You need to taste cider selections. We had their hot dogs and enjoyed them with our cider.

We stopped at Le Conquerant for lunch the last day we were in Bayeux. The food was delicious and reasonably priced given the high cost of meals in France. Service was relaxed, not rushed. We stayed well beyond the traditional closing time of 2 p.m. and we were not asked to leave nor did we feel any pressure to do... More

We enjoyed our meal here. Service was great with friendly staff. We both had the fish and chips, which were very good. The portions were large. Cost was very reasonable too. Our meals, a glass of wine and a diet coke was only E24. We would eat here again if we return to the area.

Called in here a couple of hours ago for lunch. Very impressed with the friendly atmosphere and the quality of the food. It's very much like an English pub with a good range of food and drinks. They even have my favourite Pelforth Brune. Wish it was my local!
