Our aim is to give a friendly welcome whilst providing simple but GOOD food & drink at reasonable prices! Our food menu includes - FISH & CHIPS? Fresh sandwiches, omlettes, homemade soup, toasted sandwiches, salades & for those missing them - hot dogs & chips! We also have a tasty choice of crepes & waffles .. To drink, we have the treasured produce of Normandy apples - apple juice, cider, Pommeau & Calvados. We also have the goodness of Guinness - of course ! To quench your thirst we also have a wide range of fruit juices, sodas, mineral water & very good coffee !! Food & drink service continues all through the day, so if you'd like a tasty omlette at 11.30Am or 7pm - yes we can ! Just follow the signs for the main entrance to the Bayeux Tapestry, we're just opposite ! We look forward to welcoming you : ) Marc et Dara

This is what you call a Pub

Yes an English (err maybe that should be Irish) Pub in Bayeux. A bit out of the way. Good beer on tap, limited menu - burgers, salads, sandwiches, omelettes - which you order at the bar. Food was OK and served promptl. Open late if you are hungry and everywhere else has stopped serving.

Le Conquerant was warm and welcoming on a wet and cool day. We had finished our Tapestry viewing and were looking for somewhere to slake our thirst and ease the hunger. The atmosphere here is similar to the Olde English pubs of a not dissimilar vintage. There is even an Irish lady behind the bar for those unsure of their... More

This is a decent restaurant in Bayeux, service was somewhat slow, but the beer was cold. The restaurant opens out to the street which was enjoyable. The environment is nice with a pub atmosphere. I had the fish and chips and this may not be their best dish. My husband had the burger and he said it was fine.

This pub is right next to the Bayeux Tapestry exhibit. On the day that we stopped there, it was raining sideways. There was a large tour group who had not indicated that they were on a fixed schedule and had not made a reservation. This is not a large pub - but cozy and informal. The co-owner was the chef,... A had a day to spare before a week long business trip. Visiting Normandy had always been on my bucket list, so without much planning, I decided to make the day trip. After a long day of travel, I arrived in Bayuex tired, hungry, and a little intimidated; I didn't speak a lick of French. I walked around town for... More

We rented an apartment in Bayeux and arrived late afternoon on Sunday April 26th. We were thirsty and hungry but most restaurants are closed on Sunday but we found this pub. Food was basic but very good and so was the beer. The waitress also gave us a packet of milk free because no shops were open and we needed... More

We were happy to find this place open on a Monday night, where everywhere else in town seemed to be closed. The burger I had wasn't bad. The best thing I can say about this place is feeling relaxed like at home, and the prices are good.

Overall a nice little pub on the main street in Bayeux. If all you want is to have some drinks with a basic bit of food (pretty much an appetizer, fish and chips, or a burger) then this place will do nicely. It probably rates 4 stars if all you want to do is drink, there is no way this... More

Only Pub in Bayeux with a Guinness sign hanging proudly in front. They pour a perfect pint, a lost art in America. All that aside, they speak enough English, and even give impromptu French lessons, like how to properly pronounce " Le Conquerant" in French! If you want more than a beer or other drink, the homemade soup of the... More
