I usually try to experience different restaurants, rarely eating at the same one twice. In four days we ate here three times and it was recommended by the very nice host at our hotel. The food is very good, typical of the area. What we loved was the location and the service (2 of 3 times, the other time the... More

We ended our day in Normandy eating outside on a perfect late June evening. The food was delicious, reasonable for any place in Europe, and the service was great. I had a pizza that was great, but split it with my wife's crepe with ham, cheese, etc., and had a great 'combo meal.' Wine was good, after dinner cappuccinos were... More

Great, friendly service. A few too many bugs on the terrace outside that I didn't like. I guess I just didn't like where we were seated outside. I had an amazing chocolate mousse.

We had our hotel in Caen but ate here twice on our four day trip to Normandy. The staff was very friendly, helpful and polite. The food was very good, fresh salads, well made steaks and what I can definitely recommend is the Café Gourmand, a typical french dessert(always a cup of coffee with in this case a small crème Bruleé,one... My husband and I had a nice Sunday lunch on the outside patio. Service was fine. I had an omelet with Camembert cheese and the house cider along with a side salad-both local specialties-It was very pleasant and the place was hopping. Bayeux is beautiful and I liked the atmosphere and vibe here facing the cathedral.

Decent food, moderate price and was centrally located. The nice thing about this restaurant is that it was open when most establishments were not. We enjoyed sitting in the outdoor patio.

In fairness, we checked into the hotel late and they kept the kitchen open a bit late for us to get a snack. I wanted just a starter, and asked the waiter whether he would recommend the foie gras or the fried camembert, which was noted to be a local specialty. He recommended the foie gras. It was ok, but... Pleasant restaurant with good (but not special) food which was buzzing with customers on a Sunday evening, being one of relatively few places open. The outside seating area is right by a stream and park, which makes it attractive.

We stayed at the adjoining hotel and ate here several times during our week long visit to Bayeux. The food was always good, the staff friendly and helpful.

These people make a great pizza, and their terrace is on a nice location just off the main street, along the stream. Inside is also nice. Highly recommended.
