I'm guessing we might have chosen a wrong night (Monday) in September as some pervious diners have complained about service on a Monday evening. Really? We had walked into the town as we were staying at the Chateau just outside of town and their dining area was overwhelmed. So we chose to take our chances and see what we could... More

This place was packed but we were there on a Monday night when many of the Bayeux restaurants are closed so maybe that's why there were so many people there. The food was very average and the service, while better than some of the Bayeux restaurants, was only fare. In most of these places it seems as though there is... More

On a Monday evening in November, you are not spoilt for choice as to where to eat in Bayeux as most of the restaurants are closed. La Table du Terroir was one of the few open and was consequently quite busy with a mix of nationalities. We chose from the €32.90 menu and started with a trio of garlic seafood... More

We had dinner here on two successive nights here as we arrived on a Sunday and Monday was a bank holiday. Many restaurants were closed. We were not disappointed. I had the lower priced set menus (~18 Euros) both nights. I thoroughly enjoyed starters of a house terrine and fresh raw oysters. The chicken and salmon entrees were first rate.... More

The food here was typically great. The tasting menus offered a good variety of interesting things to try. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meal. The wait staff was less professional than what we'd goten used to in Paris, but they know what they're doing. English is not their strong suit so learn some French before you go. The music... More

When researching for restaurants in Bayeux to enjoy a big meal after a long bike ride, this place did not rank too highly but it was the busiest in the centre when we walked through so we gave it a go. The steak was fantastic and the tarte tatin was delicious. Don't choose the cheapest menu, and go for at... More

This is another restaurant which I would say is good rather than average, but which doesn't quite fall into the very good category. We ate here on a Saturday night, without having booked in advance. The restaurant was busy, mostly with tourists. The food was good - sea bream, steak, chicken, and a fish platter. The Tarte Normande was okay... More

We booked this restaurant for Sunday night to ensure we got a table. Many restaurants in Bayeux do not open on a Sunday! We were a bit disappointed not to be seated at front as we were the second booking made but this did not detract from a very enjoyable dinner. We chose the fixed menu Eu29.90 for three courses...
