Lunch

We went for the 2 course menu of the day - at I think 13.50 euros which was a very reasonable price - especially considering location near to the Cathedral. We had main and dessert. Most had the beef bavette with camembert sauce and fries; I had the tartiflette - yum, albeit not very healthy but... read more

This place served the worst meal we had during our 2 weeks in France. Had the onion soup which was lukewarm and consisted of watery broth and diced onions only, the rest of the meal was sub par. The staff were harried, rude and inefficient. After a 3 hour marathon with overly long waits and dirty dishes stacked on the... More

I have never had poorer service and more rude of a wait staff than at this restaurant. We arrived promptly for our reservation and were seated within a couple of minutes. We then waited for 40 minutes with not even a drink if water. We flagged down a waiter twice to be told

This restaurant is deservedly popular, so it's worth booking in advance, it can be a bit cramped and the service can be slow - however, the food was absolutely delicious and I thought it was good value for money.

Lovely place outside and in. The food was very good. These two things would get me back to the restaurant to try again. BUT, there are not enough servers to handle peak dining time. Our waitress (young, taller girl) was super friendly, spoke English very well, and was overall great. However she was working a big party in addition to... More

The L'Assiette Normande is located just off the square where the cathedral is located. We enjoyed fresh fish, a salad, and a tasty dessert with a bottle of wine, all with good service (we ate early before the restaurant got crowded) for around 60 euros. As I recall the menu is not in English so bring your language translator with... More

Four of us visited this restaurant. It was busy as we walked in but looked rather good. Unfortunately we were shown into the Epicerie - a room off the main restaurant. Here the 5 tables are crammed into a very small area. We moved tables rather than interfere with people eating on the table behind us. Then we waited ...... More

My husband and I had a delicious meal at L'Assiette Normande. We chose from a menu that included a starter, main course, and dessert. The onion soup, potatoes Normandy, and apple crumble were all delicious!

Every review here is correct. You read that right; every review is correct - the great ones and the terrible ones. Unfortunately our experience was abysmal, one of the worst dining experiences of my life and worldwide travels. That being said, as we neared the end of our 3-hour beating, the table next to us seemed to be getting the... More

Showed up on a Saturday night and a bank holiday weekend without reservations and they were able to accommodate us..the place was full. The menu was varied offering a la carte and two or three course meals. Delicious mildly spicy carrot soup, house pate, steaks and creme caramel for dessert. The staff were very, very busy but service was good... More
