The chef is creative and presentation of food is excellent. The three women who welcome and serve are attentive and friendly but rushed off their feet. Still it gave time to appreciate the and savour very good food. The 29 euro menu is more than adequate and the 52 euros menu for those who especially like ( a lot of)... More

Read about this place in a Michelin Guide thought we'd try it for lunch while in Bayeux. It was worth it all courses were very well cooked and presented and the taste was exceptional. Great find and we'd go back - slightly incongruous part though was the Abba sound track plying throughout

If you want to have a fine dining experience in a warm, friendly and cozy restaurant then this is the place. Our hostess (Linda) was the wife of the chef and owner of the restaurant. It is a dramatic contrast to some of the pretentiousness we had in Paris. Don't miss this wonderful epicurean experience located a short walk from... More

We had read the reviews and were not disappointed. Food was thoughtfully prepared, and delicious. The service was a bit slow, but that's the only negative. Good wine list. Not terribly expensive, either. You should have dinner here if in Bayeaux.

Booked La Rapiere before we left for France, Linda Boudet was very helpful via email in handling the booking. Somewhat surprised at how intimate the place is, so booking is pretty essential. But what a treat we had? Amazing good value choice of menus, fabulous food with locally-sourced ingredients and excellent service with just the right time left between courses.... More

We loved everything!! The location is down an alley and you enter a small intimate dining room, very cozy. The menu is superb!! We went for the 4-course prix fix. The owner, a charming beautiful young woman is almost enough reason to go!! Her laugh and smile still radiates in my mind. Truly a special meal. I will remember this... More

We did not have a reservation but the owner said we would have enough time before the next reservation. Service was terrific. We never had to wait for any thing. The food was delicious. We had the sea bass for our entre and it was wonderful. Wish we could go back.

In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Bayeux. Delicious authentic (rich and creamy!) local cuisine served in a cozy, old building tucked away on a quiet street in charming, central Bayeux. Typical of the region, service is friendly and warm - a welcome change from Paris! Reservations are a must, particularly on summer weekends. Very good value for... More

You may not find this restaurant in passing as it is off one of the main streets in Bayeux, down a side alley, so we relied totally on the Tripadvisor reviews and a recommendation from a national newspaper. And all we can say is the reviews are deserved!!!!!!!! We stopped for their lunch menu en route to Cherbourg for a... More
