Our B&B proprietor recommended 3 restaurants during our 4 day stay. We went to all 3 but came back to La Rapiere as the best. The owner and staff are very accommodating but you must be prepared for a leisurely dining experience. The food was outstanding and suitably priced. A nice reasonable wine list. Would have eaten there every evening... More

This restaurant was so good, that my wife and I made another dinner reservation while dining during our first visit. Both the food and service were spectacular. The cost was also not over-the-top. It's easy to understand why this restaurant gets the #1 rating in Bayeux.

Quick summary: delicious menus and a la carte with enough options to please most. Charming, rustic dining rooms. Excellent service. We stayed in Bayeux and should have come here more often. The three-course menus are available at $29 and $40 euros, and each of the options is available separately. At least three options in starters and mains in each menu... More

We have been coming here for many years as we know the young owners who used to work in a restaurant in Bury St Edmunds. We have even driven miles out of our way en route from the Dordogne to Calais. The food is good, the ambience comfortable and Linda (the manager) is charming. Nothing is too much trouble. We... More

If you find yourself in Bayeux and you want to have a great meal, this is the place to make reservations. The food, service, wine, ambience, price and overall experience are excellent.

This was the rare case of all six of us agreeing that La Rapiere served the best three course meal that we had in France!! The price was quite reasonable, earning this restaurant a value rating of A.

We loved our dining experience in this quaint restaurant in Bayeux. We ate here after our Overlord Tour of the D-day sites (also highly recommended). The food was very flavorful, and the hostess and owner was friendly and helpful. She added to our overall experience. We ate at many good restaurants both in Bayeux and Paris, but this was our... Just book it. Go no further. I am critical about restaurants. This one has no shortcomings. The food, the service, are all wonderful. There are not a lot of tables. The pricing was great especially for the quality of the food. Enjoy.

We werent sure how busy Bayeux would be coming up the commemoration of the D Day landings so we looked at TA and booked this place. We were very glad we did as they were turning people away when we arrived. The restaurant is small and seats around 35-40 I would say. There were 5 of us and we had... More

This was the highlight of our trip, and a fine dining experience at a remarkable price. We chose the $29 menu option and received three courses of exquisite meals as well as a few surprises along the way. Far and above anything else we experienced in Bayeux and remarkable value in a refined setting.
