IT'S RATED #1 IN BAYEUX FOR GOOD REASON

Down a small side street off of Rue St. Jean, I had one of the finest meals I have had in years. The smallish interior is comforting and inviting. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. This was a charming restaurant, located down an alley off the main street. The food was tasty, we ate off the al carte menu, and enjoyed all of the dishes selected. I would definitely eat here again if in Bayeux.

Enjoyed the gourmet menu with refined dishes served with grace and warmth. All the dishes from start to finish were balanced and offered a quality blend of traditional tastes with a refined yet modern twist. Would return happily next time I pass by

An unexpected gem! The dining room was intimate and comfortable, nothing stiff or stuffy here. The food was amazing. Wait staff was warm and friendly, though not overly accommodating of requests outside their routine.

While aware of La Rapiere we unexpectedly happened upon it while exploring an area on Rue St Jean just east of the main cluster of hotels which includes Villa Lara, Churchill and Reine Mathilde. The restaurant is located in a narrow alley way immediately off the north side of the street. The unpretentious entrance soon gave way to the organized... More

Our taxi driver recommended this restaurant, he telephoned ahead and secured us the last available table.we ate that he 40 euro menu, the food was extremely good, well presented, with better than average wine. at least 4 parties were turned away after we arrived, we count ourselves lucky to have experienced eating here, if anyone is in the area, try... Very happy with the service and the quality of food. We went with our 2 years daughter and they've been incredibly nice and lovely!

Having had a great lunch last August, I couldn't resist the opportunity to revisit with a girlfriend. Also had to have the same menu! Sorry to miss Linda but we're very well looked after by Simon's mother. I love this place!

We visited this restaurant on a visit to Bayeux after seeing good reviews. We were impressed by the menu offered, but we were not impressed by the rather pretentious staff. We all chose different meals, which came promptly. Please be aware that if you choose the prawns in a Moroccan spiced broth or the egg in camembert, wait for the... More

I had the 6 Course meal with the wine pairing, my wife ordered off the menu, all I can say is this was our best meal of our trip and probably my best meal in the last 5 years. The John Dory was the special of the day and was fantastic as well as Le Boeuf..
