Found La Rapiere via TA when researching a long w/e in Bayeux. Got a booking for our party of 4 and we have just got back to our rented house and reflected on our evening... At the moment, I'm fairly sure that this was about the best complete meal that I have ever eaten! We all had the 40 euro... More

Friday noon and it was full – I recommend making a reservation. We took a menu (that was also served at dinner). The food was good; the ambient was good; the prices were reasonable (actually, I think the food is underpriced). I got the feeling that the place could easily become an exclusive, top priced restaurant, but the owner chose... More

Down a stone alley off the main street, is Le Rapier, which was recommended to us by our innkeeper as one of the best restaurants in town. It is not. It's a small space, stone walls, white tablecloths, simple decor. The cheerful, but obviously long-suffering staff will insist on speaking English to you even when you speak fluent French. For... This meal was extraordinary. Family owned, the heart and soul of this restaurant is more than evident in your greeting, your service, the food and its presentation. Absolutely wonderful.

This was our 4th visit as we were not disappointed. Difficult to describe how superb the food is here. The 52€ dinner option is worth every cent!

By far the best food we had in Normandy. This is a very tiny restaurant, in an old stone building -- bring a sweater, and book a table. We could not make a booking online, so emailed our hotel, which handled the reservation for us. The food was delicious, portions ample and prices reasonable. An easy walk from the Villa... More

I loved this place ... great decor/ambience. Professional yet relaxed and pleasant staff. Awesome food. It could not have been better. My appetizer was shrimps and scallops in a Thai broth .. it was so good that I almost screamed when I had my first taste. I was with my son, brother, and a good friend. All are experienced travellers.... More

Fantastic fixe prix dinner of the highest quality and standard. Be sure to book in advance, it is small and intimate with approx - 15 to 20 tables and they don't rush you to leave to turn the table. You do not want to miss this restaurant on your visit to Bayeux.

If you are looking for a fine dining experience in Bayeux, this is your place. The menu is classic and the ambiance matches. Nestled in an alley off one of the main streets in town, the split level restaurant is charming. Try the oysters!

Walked down an alley 20m and there was a very busy restaurant that turned out to be highly rated on trip advisor. It has definitely earned its reputation. Lovely set menu dinner reasonably priced. Would go back if I returned
