Stumbled on this restaurant while wandering through Bayeux. What a find! The food was excellent, so good we went back again the next night!! Highly recommend.

Had the coq a vin which was a little overcooked. Husband had the steak anglais, which was perfectly cooked meat in a nice sauce. Both were a bit under seasoned - maybe they were afraid of American taste buds? We had a 1 for 2 nice meal, but it was affordable compared to other places in the area. Locals do... More

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation from our hotel. It was our first night in town and we were tired from travelling and wanted something good but not too fancy. We both ordered the steak frites with a bottle of wine. Service was fast and the meal was delicious!! Just what we were looking for. Would highly recommend... More

Recommended by the staff at the Villa Lara as well as at the Churchill Hotel. We had set menu of 17.50E and selected the Onion Soup, Beef, Lamb,Chicken kabob, and the Onion Soup, Chicken dish....dessert the apple tart and delicious cafe & vanilla gelato.....split bottle of red wine.....nothing better.

Happy Hour, reasonable prices and a satisfying meal. The food was delicious and the restaurant is right in the middle of the main street and just across from our B&B.

The food at Le Drakkar was nothing special. We ordered the mixed grill (beef, duck, lamb chops) all of which were a bit tough and bland. We also ordered creme brûlée for desert which was ok. The service however was excellent. Unlike many French restaurants, this place was large with seating downstairs, upstairs and outside. We found the prices to... More

Atmosphere was very nice for couples and service was attentive and helpful. The food was ok...oysters were good; escargot were quite small and not as flavorful as I have had before. The duck was tough in spite of being ordered medium; my scallops were good, but I was only served 4 small ones the size of quarters! Accompanying vegetables were... More

We had fish and a burger. Good for simple food but no rave review. Pizza was less than average but they did put together a really nice green salad - something we were missing with al the pizza joints. Nice upstairs tables.

We were looking to try some real French cuisine. We were not disappointed. It started with great service; went on to a large selection from an a la carte menu, was reasonably priced and then we experienced a wonderful culinary experience. Thoroughly recommended.

In August of 2014, my daughter, son-in-law, 3 year old granddaughter, sister, and niece dined here after a somewhat stressful day of travel and getting lost in Normandy, thank you GPS. We stopped in the lovely city of Bayeux as the child and niece were getting hangry (hungry and angry). We found this nice restaurant and the dinner menu looked... More
