Crepes in a covered patio along a quaint creek

When in Normandy I love a good galette and some local cider. This is a great spot to go. By the river, opposite the park with a long, covered, outdoor section it's a great summer eatery. Always busy (I went three times!) the staff are still good humoured and accommodating, moving tables around for groups, squeezing a single in. The... More

We visited Bayeux today to see the tapestry and had previously read reviews about Le Moulin De La Galette on trip advisor so decided to give it a go. The setting is beautiful and in an excellent location. The staff were nice but the service was very show. My daughter and I had moules frites which I thought were under... More

Had a very pleasant meal here after seeing the tapestry next door. It was clearly a popular place as it was full on a Monday lunch time just out of peak season. The savoury buckwheat galette/crepe I had was delicious, made with tasty French cheeses and andouille. Was nice to sit out by the river in this attractive town.

We are a family of four with two teenagers who visited on a Sunday evening as the restaurant was opened. We ordered quite a bit of food and it was all very good. Mussels and frites, normandie cheese plates, calvados, and savory galettes were all great. Some confusion in drink orders due to having three servers with different levels of... More

We had a good meal of galettes. They have high chairs and a children's menu. Food was fresh and tasty. Service was just ok.

You will find most places in Bayeux to be closed on a Sunday, so like us you will find yourself scouring to see what's open. We saw Le Moulin was open so decided to try it based on its ranking. Whilst the food was not top class fine dining, it never would try to be, What it is, is simple,... More

We went to this location based on Trip Advisor reviews. It was pretty good for crepes but I was not so impressed with the salad I ordered. OK, being a celiac while on holiday in France is not all that fun - especially when the rest of your family is not; but it has been like this for many years,... More

Excellent location - we sat outside at the end of the courtyard area at a large table - we had another family with us so there were 4 kids and 4 adults - plenty of space and a lovely view. The crepes were wonderful, deserts were fantastic and the waitstaff was very pleasant and accommodating. We arrived early without a... More

Mouline de la Galette is a very good restaurant, but for one serious flaw – it is painfully understaffed. I’d love to write a more positive review, but that flaw really lessens the experience. We thought everything except the short staffing (and resulting delays and lack of service) was very good to excellent. The setting is charming. It is on... More

Hi Mister and thank you aprreciating my restaurant except the time you waited. The only thing i can tell you is that since two weeks my cook is off. Because of that i have to go in the kitchen to replace him by myself. Indeed we are understaffed because of that but i must tell that it is clearly impossible... More
