We had a lovely dinner here our first evening in Bayeux. It is a charming little place. The service was very good, and quite attentive. We had reservations so were seated at a great table by the window. The food was very fresh, well presented and quite delicious. The food certainly did set the tone for all of the delicious... More

I Ate at outside patio. Excellent dinner, good service. The best of 4 restaurants I tried in Bayeaux.

I agree with the previous two posts. We visited the restaurant for lunch on 5 July. With two children, we were hidden away in a side room not to distract other eaters (very few) and truly felt treated as third class customers. The waiters' attitude seemed to reflect a belief that we were lucky to be there, whilst frequently monitoring... More

The food is boring. All plates are presented the same way. Same bland vegetables. We had the duck. Though the duck breast was properly cooked, it had a thick layer of fat. It was drenched in a gravy like sauce with no particular flavor. Watch out for their "menu" ... We ordered the fois gras which was half an order... More

We had very poor service here. Very unfriendly and unaccomadating. They demanded that we order dessert when we ordered our meals. When the dessert came it was sub-par at best. A few of the dishes were good, but many were underwhelming or downright bad.

We chanced upon this restaurant as the one we had planned to visit for the evening was full. Well, 2 hours later we walked away extremly satisfied. The restaurant had a great ambience, and the wait staff were more than willing to work with us in our broken French as we stumbled through the menu. We can recommend the duck... More

We were at Juno Beach and looked in Lonely Planet for a restaurant. Nothing came up but we saw that ''Le Pommier'' was a special place in Bayeux. So we drove there. It proved to be the worst dinner we had in three days and by far the most expensive. The food was fairly blend except for the Bar au... More

We came very late - they were closing up, but we were seated graciously and had a very nice dinner with wine and dessert. The staff was friendly. I would definitely return. The apple tart with caramel calvados sauce was incredible.

We enjoyed our meal at le pommier. We had a nice table for 2 by the window. My wife loved the cheese board and we enjoyed a great bottle nod Bordeaux. Although our steaks were rather tough, the main courses were nevertheless quite tasty. Creme Brûlée was a dessert highlight. I would return but not order a beef dish.

Settled on le pommier since the one we wished to go was closed on that night. Pretty bad good, we tried four dishes an all are rather coarse and uninspiring.
