I came to have dinner here with my girlfriend and my mother and any of the dishes we ordered was great. I asked mainly meat dishes and both the duck and the pork were very well cooked. The only drawback to the restaurant was the service, a bit slow.

After reading the TA reviews we were skeptical about trying this restaurant. However, we gave them the benefit of the doubt after it was recommended by our hotel. This was a mistake. We had a reservation on a Saturday night when the restaurant was supposedly booked. We were the first to arrive and were seated at a window table for... More

We spent four nights in Bayeux and this was by far our favorite restaurant. Delicious lamb, apple and calvados dessert. It was first class without being at all stuffy.

Visited Le Pommier in the beautiful town of Bayeux at lunchtime. We had the set menu at 24 euros for a delightful 3 course lunch. Smoked ham entree was perfect ,however the main course of pork fillet was,by far and away the best pork dish I have ever had. The dessert was baked apple with vanilla ice cream and complimented... We were referred here for dinner by our hotel. I was a little concerned by the mixed tripadvisor reviews but was reassured that they felt this was an excellent restaurant and one of the top 3 where they referred guests. We were not disappointed. The room was rustic but comfortable. We enjoyed our appetizers. I had the escargot in garlic... More

If you are looking for a "classy" dining experience in Bayeux, this is an excellent choice. Elegant atmosphere without being stuffy or overwhelming. Attentive service. Excellent food. Delicious selections. Pricy for a family of four but they really do deliver value for money for an elegant, high quality dining experience. We would go back.

The position within site of the cathedral is its main advantage. However the outside tables on the Rue des Cuisiniers were very close to the passing traffic, so there was noise and traffic fumes. The menu was extensive but the food was no more than average and the bill at €105 was high for 2 x a two course meal,... More

The food at Le Pommier was good, and actually the desserts were delicious, but the experience was spoiled by a very unpleasant house Beaujolais. They did not let us taste it before leaving it on the table. When I was finally able to explain that I thought the wine was off, our server said it was supposed to taste like... More

We were recommended to go here by the manager, Marie, at our excellent hotel the Domaine de Bayeux, and we were delighted. The restaurant is a warm, cosy place with a pleasant atmosphere. The 3 staff we spoke to were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Every dish we ordered was fantastic. Plenty of it and very reasonably priced for... More

Dissapointed not to be able to get in the night before, we made sure to book this time. Duck with unctuous dauphinoise potatoes, seabass with ginger, beautiful caramelly apple croistillant. You have to order pudding with your other courses, by the way. Superb food and not too posh for the little ones.
