Une bonne adresse

We were pleasantly surprised by this busy but friendly restaurant with an interesting take on traditional fare. It's also good value and you're met by the boss - always a good sign! We'd go again.

In July we ate at le pommier restaurant in Bayeux. It was our last night in Bayeux and we had dined at the La Rapierre the night before…..so it could be that this review is skewed a bit. The food was good and the service was good. But, really forgettable when compared to other restaurants we visited in Normandy and... More

We have eaten here twice now, but the second time was disappointing. We had fish the first time, which was good. Tonight we had a three-course menu, with foie gras (we've had far better), veal (a bit overcooked, and a simple sauce), and a creme brulee (too watery). Service was alright, but the price was too high: stay away from... More

The atmosphere, the service, the food, it was all amazing. I had the Prix Fixe menu and was so pleased with every course. The seafood, the cheese platter, the desert combo was all so amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to enjoy the company you are with and share good food.

Creative and traditional menu offerings, good food, comfortable and elegant atmosphere, pleasant staff. A pleasant walk from our hotel in the Rue St Patrice.

My daughter and I were very pleased to find something marked with a vegetarian 'V'! The day we visited was very warm and we were able to sit outside watching people come and go, although there appears to be a fair amount of traffic for such a small cobbled road. The vegetarian burger was ok, lacking flavour, but clearly quality... More

We spent an enjoyable evening at this restaurant. There were four of us and each ordered a different menu item. The food and service was great, but spending the evening eating just enjoying the atmosphere of street side dining and each others company created a remarkable experience.

This is not a fancy restaurant but instead a very traditional Normandy restaurant in old part of Bayeux. The service was very good. I began with a mixed raw vegetable salad. It was excellent. I then had sea bass with caramel sauce with vegetables and rice and quinoa. It was excellent as well. We shared dessert: baked apple like a... More

We assume that the prices must reflect the fact that the restaurant is not far from being opposite the cathedral. We visited Bayeux on the weekend of the medieval festival and the whole city had a fantastic atmosphere, but this didn't extend to the restaurant. The service wasn't awful, but it can't be described as attentive or friendly. We had... More

We saw the reviews in the window of the restaurant and it all looked promising, but we were so wrong. My burger bun was so dry that I could hardly swallow it and the entrecôte was not good either. The french fries were not crispy. All in all we had way too big expectations to this place since the prices... More
