We were recommended to this restaurant by our hotel in Bayeux. It looked ok and was pretty busy. We had to book for a Saturday night. It all looked pretty promising and we ordered from the simple menu. We ordered wine and settled down to relax. Then the main course food arrived. I mean like 2 minutes later. At the... More

We had a reservation and were seated upon arrival. They have a room up front and then a separate room in the back. A table in the front room at the window would have been nice, so we would recommend these tables. We were seated in the back room. Initially, we were seated at a banquette style table, so the... The restaurant offers a very nice atmosphere and an appealing menu. Unfortunately the food and service are far from being up to what can be expected. Dishes are average, both in terms of the quality of the ingredients and they way these are prepared. Value for money is poor. Only desserts were good. On the service side, the staff lacks... More

We had a 3 course meal here and it was of excellent quality, the fois gras was home made. Main course of fish was beautifully cooked, not over done and traditional French deserts of Diplomat cake were sumptuous. Servings were not too large which suited us. Ambiance refined but not OTT. House wine at 15 euros, not too pricey and good.

Atmospheric, central location and delicious food. What more could one want?! I selected a seafood salad to start which was beautifully presented, steak - simple yet delicious, followed by a Normandy apple tart which was mouth wateringly good.

Very French. Excellent food and wine. The wait staff was great, never rushing you and always around if you needed something. Nice ambience. Can't miss dining here.

Set in the quaint Rue des Cuisiniers this local restaurant is wonderful. The black pudding and rabbit, veal and cheeses followed by the chef's apple pie was a meal worth every minute of the eating! One down side is that the majority of the patrons were english/american so there was little local feel but thats not to stop you visiting.... More

Our family dined here during the week per a local's recommendation. We didn't have a reservation but we arrived on the early side of the dinner hour so we were able to get a table. The restaurant is quite popular so I would recommend a reservation. The host was very genial and sat us right away. The interior is beautiful... More
