Wonderful experience at this fabulous restaurant! I recommend sitting outside as it is a great environment! I particularly enjoyed the Chocolate Profiteroles and the Apple Pie!

We began our 4 course meal here with foie gras with bread and figs and a shellfish platter filled with oysters, whelk, periwinkles, prawns and baby shrimp. Main courses consisted of duck in a benedictine sauce and salmon on chicory saffron fondue (both of which were tasty, but overcooked for our tastes), followed by our selection of six of 10... More

I cannot say whether the food was good or bad, we never got around to ordering it as we left the terrace after half an hour of sitting there with no one coming to take our order. There were a lot of wasps around and they put a wasptrap right next to a table.

Nice place but the food is very normal for the price; it doesn't deserve the price level. Very slow service. We waited our food for almost 45 min

It is difficult to find a restaurant that is willing and able to seat 12 guests at one table. Le pommier has the space and welcomed us. I would not say the service was either fast or too slow and even though the restaurant was full, our meals arrived at the same time. The food was good. My wife opted... More

My friend and I had dinner here after reading the menu the previous day. The restaurant is clean with unexceptional decor. The service was efficient and friendly, with the feel of a family run business. It is very busy and I recommend booking as it is right by the Cathedral in the heart of Bayeux. The menu was excellent, with... More

Although we have seen this place on previous visits and have been drawn by its clean, well presented exterior we hadn't tried it out. Catering for the needs of 12 people in Bayeux's small restaurants has proven a big challenge yet when I called in the afternoon with my basic french I was easily able to make a reservation for... We went into Le pommier during an extremely rainy day. They were fine with the dog (who sat quietly under the table, out of sight) and we got menus- eventually. We had the fixed price menu and the food was, overall, rather nice. The terrine to start with was a little dry, but the lamb with garlic sauce was really delicious... More

For the last evening of our 10 day holidays in Banneux we reserved a table at Le Pommier. The reception was friendly and we went for the ´Gourmet Menu Norman' with local specialties. We clearly did not regret it : the food was tasty, the ingredients fresh and carefully picket and the service throughout very warm. The wine was good.... More
