Enjoyable evening

Saw a recommendation for this place and thought we should try it. Location is good, warm welcome on arrival with a good atmosphere and surroundings! The food was very good, served and presented very well. Not certain the wine selection is as good as one should expect in France but maybe we just... read more

My partner and I were staying in Lille over the new year period; it was NYE, we were trying to find a nice restaurant and it was getting late. We found this place although the only available appointment wasn't until 10pm as they were very busy. We decided we did not want to eat that late so roamed the streets... More

Went based on TA reviews. I reserved the day before. We wanted to sample local dishes but not in touristy places i.e with some quality to them. This place satisfied our wishes. We enjoyed good quality food. Not too heavy quantities. I had the shrimp croquettes; waterzoi (fish stew) and St.Marcellin cheese. (I know this is not local, but it... More

We were looking for a restaurant and happened to find this excellent place. The local warm Maroilles tart was superb as a starter followed by chicken pieces, shaped as roses on a homemade pasta, mushroom and cream sauce. The desserts were also very good as was the Chinon Rouge. We shall return!

For some reason the French don't do vegetarian. This restaurant had no vegetarian option at all. Luckily our veggie eats some fish, but when it came, oooh dear! We all like a little fine dining, but this place just doesn't do it right. Thinking that tuna salad was a safe bet, we didn't realise that it was going to be... More

Regional specialties, with an emphasis on fish, beautifully prepared in an attractive space. The clientele seemed like trendy couples (except for us, of course), and the place was lively but still pleasantly calm, if that makes sense. The staff seemed jolly and energetic and seemed to enjoy helping us to have a lovely and memorable meal.

The menu is interesting but a lack of attention to detail lets this restaurant down. We went on Saturday evening, 11th July, and although the restaurant was only half full the service was pedestrian. We were seated at the back of the restaurant on the upper level and when the air conditioning kicked in all around were cold. Having asked... More

We had lunch in this interesting setting on a week day and the place was not that busy. The decor is well worth it, the restaurant seems to have been built by knocking down walls from several adjoining tall houses, now all done up and spacious looking. Looks like Flemish style but I am not an expert! We were made... More

We had a short break in Lille and liked this restaurant so much we went twice. The food is excellent, the restaurant is really charming - lots of bare brick, and nice ambience, Would recommend it.
