Superb

Had a great couple of evenings here. Waiting staff were great in explaining the menu and the chef came out and chatted. Food was brilliant, particularly the calamari. Already planning to go back.

If you like all types of fish and are there lunchtime, go for the menu of the day. This allows you to sample excellent food at a reasonable price. The restaurant also has an extensive a la carte selection but it is a lot more expensive. We had delicious rillettes de cabillaud, muge au sukara (some type of mullet) and... More

This restaurant is all a restaurant should be. The people running it are very friendly and knowledgable. The restaurant has a nice feel to it. Most importantly, the food is very good. The fish is great, even the dark pasta accompanying one of our meals was exceptional. It's only a short walk from the city centre, and very much worth... More

An absolute must in Vieux-Lille , window shop your way up Rue St Andre , stop in at one of the cool bars or coffee shops and make your final destination Quai 38 in Rue St Sebastien where chef Bertrand knows how to cook fish. We were a birthday party of 10 and were made to feel most welcome by... More

Our first visit to this area to explore the WW1 battle sites and enjoy the excellent wines and food of France. We discovered this restaurant via Trip Advisor and, although it was quite a walk from the centre of the old town, it was well worth the effort and we were not disappointed in the least at what this restaurant... By the time you get to the northern end of Vieux Lille there isn't much to see, and the attractions of General de Gaulle's birthplace are finite. That explains why we were through the door of Quai 38 at 11.59 for our lunch. Fortunately this isn't seen as bad form in France. The décor was safe, rather bland, but the... More

So ... where to start? The restaurant is located a +\- 20min walk away from the Grande Place. You would never imagine such a good fish restaurant so far away from the center, but it's worth 100% the walk. The staff is very kind and helpful. Fish is just perfect... If you are in Lille and love fish, just give... More

We have visited the restaurant on april 3, 2015. The restaurant is at the border of the old city center, it takes you 15 to 20 minutes walk from it. But it is really a must to go over there when you are in Lille. One of the friendliest staff I have ever seen in France. Super service and very... More

Tripadvisor really comes into its own When I end up at places like this. The excellent reviews are spot on. Even from making the reservation online the month before, I was impressed with the efficiency. The staff were totally professional and made you feel very relaxed. The fish dishes were described in detail and the menu was very broad, a... More

Based on earlier reviews on tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed at all. On the contrary. Excellent service - nice interior (spacious and cosy at the same time). A bit out of the city center but easy to cope on foot! Nice oysters as a starter with one extra for each person (Xmas threat!). Great Bar fish with sweet vegetables. Good... More
