The decor may be bland, but with food like this....

By the time you get to the northern end of Vieux Lille there isn't much to see, and the attractions of General de Gaulle's birthplace are finite. That explains why we were through the door of Quai 38 at 11.59 for our lunch. Fortunately this isn't seen as bad form in France. The décor was safe... read more

So ... where to start? The restaurant is located a +\- 20min walk away from the Grande Place. You would never imagine such a good fish restaurant so far away from the center, but it's worth 100% the walk. The staff is very kind and helpful. Fish is just perfect... If you are in Lille and love fish, just give... More

We have visited the restaurant on april 3, 2015. The restaurant is at the border of the old city center, it takes you 15 to 20 minutes walk from it. But it is really a must to go over there when you are in Lille. One of the friendliest staff I have ever seen in France. Super service and very... More

Tripadvisor really comes into its own When I end up at places like this. The excellent reviews are spot on. Even from making the reservation online the month before, I was impressed with the efficiency. The staff were totally professional and made you feel very relaxed. The fish dishes were described in detail and the menu was very broad, a... More

Based on earlier reviews on tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed at all. On the contrary. Excellent service - nice interior (spacious and cosy at the same time). A bit out of the city center but easy to cope on foot! Nice oysters as a starter with one extra for each person (Xmas threat!). Great Bar fish with sweet vegetables. Good... More

This was a restaurant where the superb cuisine was matched by truly wonderful hospitality. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel ' special'. The service was spot on --not overbearing but just the right amount of attentiveness . As for the menu-- not a big selection, but offering a select few fish dishes all wonderfully prepared and... Visited for dinner for my fiancés birthday after seeing the Trip Advisor reviews and the place totally lived up to the expectations created. I went with the very friendly waitress recommendations of razor fish and cous cous with lobster and had one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The other dishes we tried were the foie gras and... Went here for lunch after reading other reviews and was certainly not disappointed. Charming staff and really good food. There were a number of empty tables in the rather large restaurant but the way the place was decorated gave it an intimate feeling. Really worth visiting for a good meal.

This is within walking distance of the centre of Lille, albeit rather a long walk. So you could go by taxi. However you get there, I would certainly urge you to go. This is a wonderful fish restaurant. We had the crab croquettes followed by the catch-of-the-day sea bass – not cheap, but perfectly cooked and very tasty. The menu... More

We popped in here the day before our wedding anniversary to reserve a table, and were so glad we did so. The meal was great, from the starters of crab croquettes, through to the lobster and prawn kebab, and finishing with mille feuille and a strawberry concoction whose name escapes me. A superb bottle of Pouilly Fuissé helped the meal... More
