It was our first night staying in the hotel and rather that find a restaurant for the evening we choose the in house gourmet restaurant (they also have a bistro style eaterie). Our booking was for 8:00 pm on a Thursday evening and we were the first people in the dining room and wondered if we had made a wrong... More

We took the Menu Decouverte, along with the sommelier's wine choices, for a total price of over 100 Euro per person. It wasn't worth it. For that price, I expect to be wowed by gastronomy or service or both. The service was attentive at first but the stretches between visits and courses grew longer and longer. The little touches that... More

We dined there on 1 Jan, as there were no other restaurants open. We had the set menu at 52 euros. The meals was excellent and the selection and choice of wine, suggested by the sommelier, first class, if expensive. The experience is quite formal, but lovely

The menu reads well and is classical french food with a few twists. The room is very interesting and one can imagine the old hospital beds that would have been there. However; it was more of a miss than a hit with us. There was a mix up with one of our main course orders so the meal was very... More

We had the tasting menu for lunch and found it to be very good indeed. The service was prompt and the waiter informative.

The gastronomic restaurant of the Hotel is closed in August for vacation... It leaves the brasserie type L'Estaminet open. Service is prompt and friendly The problem is in the kitchen, the salmon was way overcooked,my veal had bad aftertaste,my croustade of seafood had little in it... Altogether ,in this high end hotel, this was a big disapointment.

The food and service were special and we have a wonderful meal. We were hosted by a French colleague's boss so I'm glad my mother taught me good table manners. Wow

This is the main restaurant area in the L'Hermitage Gantois hotel. We had the set menu together with Sommeliers wine selection, which we felt was an excellent choice and the wines well balanced for the courses. The total cost worked out at 95 euros a head which was a bit pricy but we felt was about right for the quality... More
