Interesting and enjoyable

A very pleasant small restaurant which caught my eye in the afternoon. The menu is very French as you would expect but good. The charcuterie plate was good and great starter to the meal. I went for a 'pot au feu' which was enormous coming in it's own casserole dish. It was ok but well cooked. The... read more

Had dinner here with my wife and daughter during a visit to this great town. The place is thoroughly French in terms of food and service. No concessions to quality and tradition, but in a very friendly way. The Chef was charming and very helpful, food was good and plentiful. Great wines at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

A small establishment, but with character. The main interest is the list of Beaujolais wines available by the glass. I had the Morgon, a fine example of gamay For lunch I had a salad of goats cheese on toast with some smoked duck breast Very satisfactory!

The limited menu features a variety of special local dishes and cuisine, but the meals are generous and very well presented, at fair prices. A real pleasure to experience the personal service of this establishment which oozes character.

We enjoyed a meal here on 2nd Jan. The restaurant feels like a typical french bistro and the food was nicely presented and authentic. It was exactly what we were looking for that night.

Interesting menu and wines. Near the centre and staff are helpful. Not too expensive considering its location

We had a lovely meal - tripe and bone marrow for entrée respectively, followed by pigs trotters and veal kidneys. We didn't intend to have a meal focused on the bits you don't normally cook but the dishes were delicious - and the wine superb. Not too pricey, around €35 a head which didn't seem bad and the restaurant was... More

Had dinner here last night. Very French restaurant which was recommended to us by a bar we had been in earlier. Interesting starters, very filling, and then onglet and kidneys as main courses. Both served with gratin potatoes and other veg. Both meals well cooked and nicely presented. With a bottle of red wine and dessert, total was a very... More

We pre booked the restaurant as part of my team's day out to lille. We had 2 courses, both were great and they didn't hurry us out. Lamb shank with potato daupinoise was a highlight. Struggled to rustle up butter for the bread (may have been poor English but 'there is none' seemed a bit far fetched for a restaurant)... More

A small brasserie with typical French food done well in plentiful proportions. House Bordeaux white excellent. We shared the terrine platter followed by lamb chops & Saintes Jacques. A very pleasant evening.
