The typical little French brasserie I guess I can't say A lot about how things normally are or go in this restaurant since I went here during the annually 'braderie' event de Lille. During this weekend they have a little fixed menu.. I've read about the wines they serve but even the wines are narrowed down to red, white and... More

Noisy. Bustling. Brash. Cramped. Atmospheric. This is not the place to go if you are after an intimate dinner for two in quiet surroundings so it is best enjoyed, as we did, in a small party. Don't expect haute cuisine - they make no pretence that this is. And don't expect rapid service - you will get your food when... More

the menu did not have a huge range, but i must say that their dishes were all authentic and excellent. I had a grilled steak with fries, served with sides of ratatouille, gratin and cauliflower (cooked with egg?). I think they are famous for their Potjevlessch, a terrine made with four kinds of meat.. including rabbit :c overall a very... More

Excellent food cooked and presented with enthusiasm. Service was excellent when we arrived to a relatively empty restaurant but as it filled up the staff struggled a little to cope. highly recommended for a taste of cooking form a different region of France.

we were just after a small evening meal plus wine and a desert and we just stumbled on this place. What a great place and what great food and service. The waitress was delightful and very friendly despite our lousy French. The food that we had was delicious, tureen and foie gras plus profiteroles and ice cream. The cost was... More

Really good to see Beaujolais featured so strongly on a menu, we had a half of the St Veran (white) and a bottle of the Chirouble (red). Neither wine often seen in the UK. Food was well cooked and tasty. We shared the foie gras, then I had rare entrecote which was perfectly cooked, my partner had the kidneys which... More

Although we weren't dissapointed with the quality of the meat (an exellent cote de boeuf!) we were dissapointed with the arrogance of the waiters. The waitress pourred the red wine all over the table and just said:"ca n'arrive jamais", instead she should have said "excusez-moi" and offered a glass of the same wine to my partner who received a few... We enjoyed a very authentic meal at Le Pot Beaujolais, having read some previous comments on Tripadvisor. On being seated at our table, we were presented with an amusee bouche and then my husband and I shared a plate of country pates - very rich and meaty. He followed this with veal kidneys in mustard sauce and I had an... More
