Le Bibent is an historical Brasserie from the 19th century on the famous Place du Capitole. The three major assets of the Bibent are: the location, the location, the location. The interior is nicely renovated with original paintings and stuck from the Belle Epoque period. Nice terrasse on the Place du Capitole. The food is "OK" . Brasserie style with... More

Upon a local recommendation, we had tea/coffee here to enjoy the incredible ambiance and exquisite decoratin inside. We also chose a sweet treat to accompany our drinks...wow! The baked egg custard and the floating islands were exceptional! This is not a 'cheap eats' experience, but the quality for price was absolutely worth it (approx 12 euros pip for hot drink... More

Great location overlooking the Capitol plaza. Incredibly beautiful interior. Excellent wait staff and service. Food was good but not great. Good wine selection.

We sat outside although the interior design is spectacular. The most important, however, is the tasty food and the service minded staff. We enjoyed

A lovely room with a nice outlook onto the Place du Capitole. The food is classic French and is well done, though it doesn't try to be particularly original. When we went it was very crowded and although we had booked, we still had to wait quite a while for our table to become free. The waiters are doing their... More

We could not fault this restaurant. There is something wrong with the rankings in Toulouse, probably because of the proliferation of pizza and burger joints for les jeunes. Le Bibent offers a great menu, reasonably priced, great service in a beautifully decorated restaurant. Well located on Place Capitole, featuring live jazz some nights. Highly recommended.

Sold at the fist picture I saw of the place, my heart skipped a beat and then had settled to explore this vintage treasure. It was hard for us to lift ourselves off the chair after a long relishing dining experience.Final Verdict: A must visit while in Toulouse. Reasonably priced with big portions of food unlike the preconceived notion of French... More

We went because I had seen a picture of the newly refurbished interior and I wanted to see it for real! I was not disappointed. It is lovely. We had not booked but were seated quickly. The waiting staff were attentive and helpful, There were some adventurous dishes on the menu but I didn't dare try the combination of gizzards... More

Good: the ambiance and the decor are unique, this is a landmark. Average: food is original on the menu but not really on your plate Bad: service as usual in France, you have to fight to get the menu, than to order, than to pay. and you wait quite a long time to get your dish in between... Price: too... More
