We visit Toulouse annually and always eat at Le Pyreneen. It's usually pretty good food, but this evening was wonderful. The wine was excellent the environment was lively, the service was good and attentive and the whole fish was just terrific. We'll visit agin when we're next in Toulouse.

The restaurant ressembles a Paris bistrot, with long benches on either side, and a bar. The oysters are really awesome, the snails the best ever, and the chateaubriand steak forestière (mushroom sauce) was one of the best we have ever had, and quite sizable too, with lovely home made fries to accompany the meat. The fish there is supposed to... More

Service was awesome. Location is awesome. Ambiance is awesome. Food was incredible. Wine was righteous. The dish I had (duck + foie gras + fig sauce) was one of the best I've ever had and I dream about it to this day. I will be back soon. Had a great experience here but it did help that I was with... Had lunch...crowded but they have the service down pat. And though busy don't feel that way. Oysters very good...but hold on to you wallet! Lamb chops...well I have had better, but this was certainly up to par. i will go back

We looked forward to visiting this restaurant after reading the reviews. Our experience was a great disappointment. Neither of us enjoyed our main courses - my husband ordered duck which was not only burned but otherwise virtually tasteless. My pleasure was spoiled by the fact that my plate was 2/3 covered with fries - it was overwhelming and resulted in... More

We checked trip advisor for suggestions of places to eat that were well-rated. Our first choice was booked but this place was close to our hotel and we were not disappointed. We got there at 7:30pm (early by French standards) and did not have to wait to be seated. But by 8:15 or so, it was full and folks were... More

A small friendly restaraunt where they really seem to care. Not too expensive. The menu is imaginative, I had scallops and kidneys cooked in garlic and parsley - delicious. The portion sizes are good and the restaraunt is really "French" not just a tourist pretence! I can thoroughly recommend the experience.

The place is well known and has been running for a good while. The food is always excellent, service pleasant. The place is small and they don't take reservations. So you need to be patient but it is worth it!

If only we had a restaurant like this in Amsterdam... I love this place! Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, great menu. Being a big fan of scallops (St Jacques) this is the place for me. Mostly locals eating here, menu in French

Very nice restaurant that brings you back to old tmes. We ordered the largest fish plate (Royale): Salmon outstanding, but tuna was really bad with an ammoniak flavour.
