Amazing Fine Dining Experience in Toulouse!

We were recommended to come here by a server at a nearby restaurant that was full for the evening. We are so fortunate that Le Genry Magre took our group of six on the fly. This was the best dining experience we had in Toulouse. The level of service and execution of the food was stellar. We did... read more

This place was recommended to us by the manager of a restaurant in Uzés, and it didn't disappoint. We had the menu with matching glasses of wine, and both food and the wines were excellent. Staff was attentive and polite and readily switched to English when they realized that our French skills are limited. Highly recommended.

Although Toulouse has many great restaurants, as a visitor it is sometimes difficult to make sure you are going for a good choice rather than a tourist trap. Le Genty Magre was suggested to us by a locally-based friend so we knew we were onto something good. We were not disappointed as all aspects of the meal was what one... More

My starter was smoked duck dish that didn't work for me. The main dish was a tournedos which I thought would be tender meat but, although tasty, it was kind of chewy like a bavette or something. The rhum baba was ok with plenty of rum, but I didn't understand why it included fresh strawberry Impeccable service and atmosphere.

I went to this restaurant both for lunch and for dinner. Think to make a reservation call since it is quite busy equallly at lunch and at dinner. The food is inventive and exceptional. Very very nice with some items quite traditional such as the baba au rhum for dessert. Everything was fine and very good: food of course, wines,... More

tucked away down a side street we received a very warm welcome and sat by the window which was opened later as it was a very warm evening. The menu isn't huge but the choices were tempting with a good choice of local classics Pork head and feet croquettes were nice although there were some gristly bits! Tournedos Rossini was... More

This was the best restaurant we visited in toulouse. The menu is varied and one can choose half portions of many of the dishes which means you can order more than one first course - I found these the best. We had a wine variation so that you get the right wine for the right course, which was interesting in... More

To our delight the restaurant was open on Good Friday. We enjoyed excellent food, wine and service in a restaurant which seemed to be highly regarded by locals. All the dishes were very fresh, with a light touch and appealing in presentation. The stuffed guinea fowl was the stand out dish of the evening - absolutely delicious. If looking for... More

I arrived on a Sunday and had to wait to try this restaurant because it’s closed on both Sunday and Monday. I met some old friends from the Toulouse area and they had not heard of the place. I told them that I’d found it via TA. They admitted that even their son, who prided himself on his knowledge of... More

I really did enjoy the athmosphere and the menu. The best thing about the menu is that you can order your selected dish as half portions, enabling you to taste several things. The serving of the half portions are plenty and satisfactory. I will definitely go there once again to taste other things which indeed were appealing.
