This restaurant provides excellent cooking. The menu is quite long and needs careful studying. The food is excellent, and the staff very attentive.

We only ate here once for dinner. It is a very attractive dining room with good service. Sufficient English spoken. I had the tripe which was excellent. I guess Americans don't order tripe, because the waiter quizzed me to make sure I knew what I was getting. Truthfully it is almost impossible to find in the U.S. My wife order... More

My husband planned for this dinner as it was my name anniversary and he got it so right. The dinner was outstandingly delicious. I had the Rossini tournedo with foie gras. It was so delicious it melted in the mouth. My husband had the souris d'agneau, I tried it and it was very good as well. Sides were lovely. Unfortunately... More

We had been planning on going to some fancier joint, but saw Le Genty Magre while walking around and remembered it from Lonely Planet's recommendation. After peeking at the menu, we cancelled our other plans and decided to go with our gut. Literally, you had us at the cassoulet. If they give you the choice of foie gras ravioli in... More

I can't believe this restaurant is ranked number 11 in Toulouse, I would not recommend it to anyone since it is very expensive for what it is, really nothing special about this place, for us it was quite a waste of money, in Toulouse is is possible to eat better for cheaper than this, bottom line.

Stumbled upon this restaurant on the way to another for dinner. Glad we stopped and went here instead. Not an exhaustive menu but enough selection to suit most everyone. Food was unique and delicious and definitive French. Level of service was higher than typical restaurant in France. A great meal on all accounts.

I've been coming to Toulouse several times a year for over 15 years and I can't imagine why it's taken me so long to discover this place, especially as it's one of relatively few "serious" restaurants in Toulouse to open on Saturday nights. (Plainly anyone who is anyone in Toulouse has gone to their second home for the weekend!) From... More

I went to Genty Magre once and have to say it is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. It is perfect to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy French cuisine at its best! The food is excellent. The "amuse gouche" (in this case it was a cold soup) tiggered taste buds I didn't even know... More
